Sony Alpha a6000 Mirrorless Digital Camera with 16-50mm Lens (Black)
Great budget solution for 1080p video.
Wow. Having used the Nikon D3200 for video work for the past couple of years, I was completely blown away by the difference in quality when I switched to the Sony a6000. The low light performance, bitrate and video quality, the amazing auto-focus, the tilting screen, the compact size... I'm literally blown away. Paired up with a budget lens such as the Sigma 30mm f2.8, this is, in my opinion, the ultimate affordable setup for 1080p video.

Great camera for families, but short for professional uses
Well thought out hardware - improved but still confusing menu system - satisfying performance in both operation and image quality. This makes an overall winner. I bought one myself and recommended one for my friend. This is the first time for me to get a white color camera and I think more camera makers have to open up the color options. I assigned one custom button to quickly switch between DMF and MF. ISO steps can be configured to jump at 1/2 ... Show More

Solid all around camera
Bought this camera based off numerous recommendations, being that I am new to photography. I can say so far, that I am not disappointed at all. Considering it is extremely portable and easy to use, I have no complaints whatsoever. There are tons of videos online, some offered by b&h, to learn how to get the most out of this camera, which says that for being such a small camera, it packs a lot of benefits and uses.

Great color rendition, Great low light capabilities.
I've been wanting to get this camera for a while. The price drop did it for me. While I haven't explored everything, I have shot in several very different situations, and I have found the camera to be absolutely on as far as color balance and low light capabilities are concerned. I'm looking forward to shooting for many years with this jewel.

I would buy this again
Love this product, very easy to use especially for a beginner who is just getting into photography. Its also small and light. I do however find the camera strap to be somewhat uncomfortable after using it for couple of hours.

Great Camera with little Flaws
This is a wonderful camera. According to the majority of websites that I've done research on, this camera outshines the 6D and even the 5D Mark III. That was hard to believe so I decided to get it to test it out and boy I wasn't disappointed. This camera is perfect for travel, being lightweight and compact enough to carry around with you, which was quite a struggle with a conventional DSLR. I'll just list out the pros and cons from my experiences... Show More

Great Camera after it's setup property
I spent 5 hour of being frustrated with this camera because I couldn't transfer the photos from the camera to the computer. After messing around with it 1/2 the day I figured it out, I had to set it to MTF and then it automatically installed the driver onto my computer and after I formatted the card it let me transfer files. I'm using the A6000 with a Rokinon 135mm f/2.0, A Samyang 12mm F/2.0 and a Rokinon AF 50mm f/1.4

I wish I bought this sooner!
LOVE! As a professional photographer, I want great quality images in my every day life with out having to carry my heavy, bulky, expensive DSLRs and this fits the bill. It's light, easy to use and I still have the option of shooting RAW files. The ISO and wifi on this is also great! I'm actually sorry I didn't buy it sooner. Definitely a great investment. I highly recommend this product.

Buy it again in a heartbeat!
Haven't got all the WiFi stuff figured out for tripping with my phone, the sony app is not as cool as the Panasonic one. I'm sure once I get through it I'll like it. Quality of the photographs is great! The high ISO pictures are the best I've ever gotten on a camera yet. Everything I do goes through Lightroom and It does a great job, the lens corrections are there and that is important too me.

Great buy.
I bought this one after dropping my Sony a7000 into water. Really happy with the camera so far, specifically the autofocus speed. Try to get the SEL50f18 prime lens if you have some extra bucks to spear to get best out of this gem. Don't forget to watch Gary's video on B&H. He teaches you how to get best of this camera with minimal manual changes for each shoot.

Great Camera!
This arrived yesterday and I have been using it to the fullest. Some of the pictures have been blurry, but overall I am happy with the ease of use and picture quality. I like it much better than my Canon DSLR.

Got a defect product
I have this camera only for less than two months, I just got time to try its Time Elapse app. When I try to download app, I spent hours to try to connect the camera to my iMac or Windows 10 PC. Finally, I gave up and called Sony support for the problem. I was told there is a problem with the camera for connecting to the computer and I need to send the camera to the shop. I bought the camera for a trip in December and I bought it because it has th... Show More

DID THEY FORGET SOMETHING?
EVERYTHING LOOKS GOOD IN THE BOX BUT SONY DOES NOT INCLUDE AN OPERATION MANUAL. YOU HAVE TO GO ON LINE AND TRY TO FIND HOW TO USE DIFFERENT DIALS.WE CAN ONLY HOPE THAT THE DOLLAR THAT THEY SAVED BY NOT INCLUDING IT IN AN $800 PLUS PURCHASE DOES NOT HURT THEIR REPUTATION.I HOPE TO BE ABLE TO USE IT IN ANOTHER WEEK!

Great for the price.
It has a simple design, the controls are in logical places, its my first sony camera, I love the feel of the lenses. Its great for the price and also great for road trips, it does really well at concerts and night photos.

No battery charger included?!
This may turn out to be a great camera bundle but I am shocked that there was not a battery charger included in the box! The instruction manual does list a battery charger as something that should be included in the box. I think it is crazy to sell a camera without including a battery charger!

Grab and go kind of camera
Super comfortable to hold, compact, lightweight; I don't like leaving it behind when I go out (which is the way it should be). Complaints: Kit lens isn't noteworthy

Sony makes another great camera
I am well satisfied with how easy the camera is to set the scene and focus is so fast I am amazed. The quality of photo is great. This is my 4th Sony camera, 3 digital and 1 dslr. Can't wait to get home and use my new a6000. Our son is getting married in November and they asked if I would take the pictures for their wedding. I am looking to put it to the test.

Easy to use.
I picked this camera up a few days before we went to Rome. I'm familiar with the DSLR platform, but still a novice photographer. The pictures were incredible. The small size was perfect since we walked almost everywhere and often in large crowds. I used the Sony 20mm Alpha E-Mount lens, which again I loved for the size and the incredible wide angle shots. I only took around 600 pics, over the course of a week in all light settings. Only had a few bad shots, due to my skills or lack there of. Would highly recommend this camera.

Great bang for the buck.
It's a great looking camera with its retro silver touches, it's shutter speed blasts most intro/mid level dslr's out of the water and the picture quality is some of the best I've seen with any camera but that's because I've paired it with some Zeiss glass. The electronic view finder is much better than I had expected and I actually like it more than the traditional dslr viewfinder. It's compact mirrorless body is so much easier to carry around th... Light Weight, Easy-To-Use & Great Quality
I was originally a Nikon user, but i've been out of the photography loop for MANY years and resorted to using the Panasonic DMZ series while raising my kids. It was small, easy to use and the photos were decent. But of course, they weren't great and that dang lens kept going into error mode. Well the kids are gone and I wanted to get something nice for under $1000, but everything was so big and bulky. That's when I saw the Sony. I watched an inde... Show More

I recommend this product
I love the weight of this camera. I used it for he first time on a trip and was very pleased with the results.I liked the feel of the csmera in my hands. There is a learning curve in adjusting to where the controls are. Unfortunately, the Sony manual online and the one they provide with the camera is virtually useless which is the reason I gave it only four stars.

Light weight and great IQ
Since I don't use video I chose the a6000 over the a6300. I bought it not sure that I would like it over the Sony rx100, but I do. So now I leave the a7rm2 when I travel or shoot simply to have fun. The optics are amazing even for a pixel peeper like me.
