Works perfectly!

Nov 12, 2019

I used this last night at my camera club meeting and everyone could hear me perfectly. I wear hearing aids and it was not a problem. Very comfortable and much better than lavaliere microphones which are unidirectional.

Qualidade Excelente, estrutura frgil.

Shure MX153 = Dead On Arrival

Dec 5, 2017

I ordered this piece of equipment for a seminar. Just by chance I ordered another brand as well for comparison sake. I'm so glad I did as the Shure microphone arrived on time but was completely defective. Thankfully I had ordered the spare so i was able to compete the seminar. Shure let me down at a very critical time. Quality control or advanced testing of the product would certainly be money well spent.

Only works with Shure Receivers

Sep 29, 2017

had to return, connector only works with Shure receivers. That is a piece of information that would have been nice to know before purchasing it.

Works fine

I am a student pastor and use this mic for preaching at our church. The microphone seems to work well with our Shure bodpacks and has a good sound. The only negative to it is that the mouthpiece extends to the very corner of your mouth. It almost goes in front of your mouth. For the price, I supposed I shouldn't be super picky, but if I am being honest, I don't really like how long this piece is. Otherwise, it is a great option for a small amount of money.

Very cost effective headworn mic

Nov 12, 2015

I had these supplied on a job and thought they were a more expensive model. When I discovered the model was less costly than I expected, I was very pleased. I find this a good choice where a cost effective head worn mic is needed. Cheers, db

Nice microphone

Earset easily flexes to fit over a user's ear and is lightweight. Sound is clear. The instructor for whom we purchased this microphone loves it.

difficult to tighten around the ear

Sounds great but one of the drawbacks of face-worn mics is that some tend to slip around the ear. This is one of them.

A good solution ..

Jan 28, 2014

With a lavalier microphone, recordings of our lectures were somewhat uneven in quality: sound levels were not constant, turning head or looking up produced a more faint result. No news, there, really. But head- or ear- worn microphones had always been too expensive or heavy. I have found this light-weight, unimposing microphone to be a perfect solution. The sound quality is excellent, the hardware convenient.

Very pleased

I purchased this as an upgrade to our current shure earset used in our worship center. I think the sound quality and build quality are excellent. No complaints or regrets. I would recommend this to anyone looking at the countryman but wanting to save some money.

Not for working actors

Feb 5, 2013

We bought this as a less expensive, and perhaps more reliable alternative to Countryman mice, as the MX153 does not have a removable cord which seems to cause problems for us. The MX153 fits comfortably over the ear and sound quality is good, but if an actor is active under hot lights, and starts to perspire above the neck, the sweat runs down the stem of the mic and straight into the mic itself, producing a horrific popping, gravelly noise. Now, this is a very specific use, but I can only imagine anyone who does more than remain stationary under dim light will have the same problem.

Fits well, sounds good.

After dissapointing experiences with another headworn microphone which did not stay put on the speakers head, but slipped around all the time, I was very pleased with the MX153. It stays put and from a distance is hardly noticeable. Just what we wanted.
