Upgrades for some Win 7 work stations
We upgraded the C disks on two Win 7 PRO SP1 64-bit machines: the current C disks were Samsung 840 PRO 256GM SSDs; the new C disks were the 1TB versions of the PRO 260 line. The transition was really easy using the Samsung Data Migration software from their web site. We also used an inexpensive disk caddy while that software was running. Samsung makes the best SSDs on the market
I bought my first Samsung Pro SSD around eight years ago, I think it was a 256GB. Then another for my other laptop. Then a 1TB and now a 2TB. Obviously very happy with all, I just keep needing more storage space and fortunately, Samsung keeps making larger SSDs.

Worked first time - as expected
I got this one because I was having problems with a samsung 860 evo. I have used * PRO ssds until that one. The write speeds were so slow ( 14 Mb/s ), the computer would not always reboot properly. I need to talk to samsung about that old one, but this new 860 pro is doing fantastic (270 Mb/s) on the same computer.

Put in my PS4 Pro. Everything is faster and looks better. Very nice. Apparently 1 & 2 TB ver. Don't run into write limitations on large writes ~73GB Thanks bnh!

Great Drives!
I have been using Samsung SSDs since the 830, and the pro version since the 840 pro came out both in my own machines and clients and have never had any issues at all and great speed from the drives. Definitely some of the most reliable drives available!

Upped the C drive from a 256gb SSD
This go round I imaged the C drive and it took multiple opens and closes to get this to sort out things, likely my systems complexity as well as the program being used but its working fantastic now !

A+ for SSD Use
The PRO is a tougher drive than the EVO. Performance is about the same between the two. EVO is ideal for home users, and PRO is suited for heavy workstation users. The Samsung Magician software is comprehensive and provides a wonderful disk cache for Intel chipset system boards. Magician RAPID mode does not like the few AMD system I tried to install it on. Great Performance
Ive had smaller versions of this drive (512MB and 1TB) and decided to jump to 2TB as the RAW files coming off the newer DSLRs are very large (95MB+ for D850). Also, since the prices on these are starting to come down, I couldnt resist. This product is very quick and reliable.

Using it in Atomos Flame

Transfer worked flawlessly. drive is quiet, smooth and fast
The downloaded software transferred my WD Raptor SATA drive flawlessly to the Samsung SSD. Works great, very fast, quiet and smooth. The screen loads and fills extremely fast. So far very pleased, now to see about the longevity and somewhat robust usage. Mostly for processing photoshop files and maybe some flight sim programs.

Nice SSD Good Price
It works fine with my iMac. It is the same size as the internal drive but is over 3.5 times faster. It is nice they dropped the price.

Samsung are A+ for performance and reliability
I install Samsung SSD in all my client machines, as well as my personal ones. They have no moving parts, which makes them ideal for laptops that get moved and/or tossed around. Performance is stellar. Win7 and new can use the Magician software to enable RAPID mode (disk cache), which is ideal on battery powered laptops to ensure no data loss from a power outage. The PRO is more durable than the EVO series, and priced accordingly. PRO is for heavy use. Leave 5~10% of the disk as raw/unallocated for automatic wear leveling.

After reading Lionel's recent review here, I spoke with Samsung customer service and was assured their data migration software would work with the 860 pro. So I took a chance and purchased this item. Don't buy if you plan to clone
I bought this thinking I could clone like the 850 units. The Samsung cloning software does not support. Tried to clone it anyways, the computer went nuts and would not boot. I got the older 850 pro and everything was smooth. Could work if you just need to add a hard drive.
