Cannot get started - battery issue
Unfortunately it looks like I will be returning this camera as ever set of batteries you install it says are dead. Even though it turns on and appears to function, the camera does not save pictures when it thinks the batteries are too low. It appears to be a firmware issue as I was able to adjust setting, scroll through menus, and even zoom in and out numerous times over the course of about half an hour with the camera turning off. Just what I needed!
I had not owned a standalone camera since 2005, because when smartphones came, they were actually better for point and shoot. But after recently getting into birds, I decided I needed a real camera with zoom, so I did some research. A New Camera
I have had an older model of the Kodak camera and found it to be be the best for photos so I upgraded to this one. It has many great features, wider eyes, eye sparkle, soften skin tones. It is exactly what I wanted, with the 16 megapixels it is just perfect for this amateur, easy to use. Another reason I bought this model was the ease of buying the batteries anywhere in town, AA, where as other cameras have expensive batteries which soon run out.... Show More
