Passive noise isolation
Nice alternative to electronic noise-canceling headphones, these passive noise isolation headphones provide more natural sound. Over-ear design. Not as comfortable to wear as some others, however. Might be worthwhile to spend a little more and go for the Sony MDR-7506, which don't isolate as much, but provide superior sound. If noise isolation is key, these are better, however, if sound quality is key, the Sony MDR-7506 can't be beat.

Good Value
My wife and I are musicians, both french horn players. We live in a small apartment, we use them to listen to music in the bedroom of our apartment (there is no door)while the other practices in the living room. Works pretty well when one of us is playing fortissimo! Does not cut out all sound but it is a VERY good value. The sound quality is not great but as I said, I find this to be a great value!

The best by far.
Last week we made a short film in a glass factory. Sometimes you do not realize the amount of background noise from the microphones or ears. With this amount of attenuation is easy to recognize the reality of what you are recording. The red color is very useful for put them properly. I just ordered one more. Four stars just because I would have liked to have coiled cable.

Safe and clear
I bought these headphones to wear while mowing the lawn. They make a noticeable difference, they block out much of the mower's engine and allow you to listen to music at a lower noise level. Thus protecting your hearing. They are comfortable but a little larger than I like to wear in public.

Amazing
I thought for that price that the voice would not be as clear as it is ! I worked with more expansive headphones and some did not equal that quality. very good sound barrier, even near an airport, perfect for ENG, documentaries

Great item.
This is my second pair after a mishap with my first one. I like the comfort of these and the isolation they provide while recording a live band. Helps with the balance everything out without having to hear other distractions.

Not Quite
These headphones didn't quite have as much rejection as I was hoping for. The sound was fine and they seem durable enough, but the rejection was a bit disappointing.

A lot of Bang for the Buck
In live production environments it allows my sound person to truly hear what is being performed without live ambient and reflective sound interfering.
