Quality is not what it used to be

I have purchase several Audio-Technica systems with no problems until I got this microphone. This mic from the start picked up a lot of noise when the cable was moved even a little bit. I sent it back toAudio-Technica for repair and they returned it stating that they repaired a bad ground. The mic still had the same problem. *** Notice *** I corrected the problem myself and here is what the problem was and what I did to correct it. The microphone... Show More element unscrews from the end of the cable. The connection to the element is made by a small spring. If the spring does not have enough tension it will not make a good connection. When I corrected this bystretchingthe spring a little the noise went away. Thus the statement, Quality is not what it used to be. This also goes for theAudio-Technica repair service. Now that its working correctly I like it but I got a lot of bad recordings due to the noise being generated by the poor connection.Show Less
