Excellent Product
Kind of a pain that you now need this if you buy a new macbook since they no longer have disc drives; however, it allows the macbook to be a lot smaller and lighter so I won't complain too much. This product works great so far. Only used it once. Design is flawless, compact and light.. easy to store out of sight on your desk or take with you if needed.

Just what I needed
I ordered a new Macbook Pro and didn't realize that it didn't contain a cd/dvd drive (silly me), so I had to order this for my photography business. The item is just what I needed, I still hate that a cd/dvd drive wasn't included on my Mac (made me pretty upset after the amount of money you pay) but this solved the problem. Suffice to say, I received my SD lickety-split and expertly packaged from B&H group. To be honest, I was disappointed by the fact that the Macbook pro did not come with an optical drive but this is an affordable and sleek solution. It has a robust construction that lets me not have to worry about knocks and bumps during transporting in a bag or case. Design, functionality, durability and affordability.

Very nice drive
I needed an external drive to show some prepared class videos. It is fast, and effective. It is a bit heavy, but this is probably due to the case (which matches the Mac book silver). There are cheaper options, but I needed the reliability. I hope it lives up to my hopes... Downside: there is no manual eject button on the device (you know, the paperclip hole). However, there is an overide in the Mac desktop. Open the finder window in the lower task bar (bottom, not the top of the screen) . click on the disk image and eject it.
