I bought these headphones to make calls on Microsoft Teams whilst working from home. However, the sound quality on calls is very poor. I could hardly hear the other person and they had difficulty understanding me. However, if you just use them for listening to music they are fantastic, very good sound quality and outstanding noise cancellation. I returned them on the same day because of the calls issue.

The sound quality is amazing, battery lasts long time. However these headsets are not convenient for calls. Particularly, there is no mute button on the headphones, to me this is one of major features that bluetooth headset should provide. Due to this I decided to use headset of another firm. So, if you give priority to user experience rather to highest sound quality, I would recommend to look for another options.

The sound quality for music is incredible. It's feature rich. The noise cancelling is top notch. I absolutely love it, regardless of its one flaw. The mic is terrible. If you're buying this for music only I think it's the best you can get (and I researched the competition). Some of this comes down to personal preference. I listen to dance music and Sony suits that great. Don't expect to use this headset for clear calls or for us with Teams/Zoom. Buy a separate mic to go with it.

I used to own the XM3 version but unfortunately lost them. I know there is now an XM5 but the XM4 was on sale so I decided to get these instead. The ANC is just superb. I bought these, jumped onto a long haul flight and used them the whole way. Everything gets blocked out by the NAC. I haven't even tested the extra features of this headset out yet as they are not top priority for me. But the sound quality and NAC are standouts that make this headset a high recommendation.

A dedicated Bose user, I thought this product would represent an improvement in sound while maintaining the noise canceling feature. Instead, after less than two weeks of use I have given up. Sound quality is just ok, volume control is poor, connection via bluetooth is almost nonexistent (comes and goes and goes), and the lady talking in my ear makes me want to scream. What?! Why is this product so highly rated? I wasted a lot of money.

Great headset, i decieded to make the expensive purchase of this headset & i wasnt disapointed the noise canceling is next level! Downside to this headset is the software, when you have adaptive noise canceling on every time it changes state it changes the music volume to let you know its changed state which can become anouying when you stop walking for traffic lights and then start again it kind of takes you out of the expeireance.Show

So these headphones took me a while to build up the courage to meet the asking price, which seemed alot for headphones. However they are unbelievable, putting you into a different world. The sound cancelling is the best I've ever experienced, they are comfortable, sound is great, app is easy to use, packaging and case is excellent. I wish I'd bought them earlier, if you're considering it just buy them. You'll thank me later :)

If you're looking for some proper decent headphones, look no further... I was amazed by how these sound and everyone I've let try them on has been amazed too. The clear bass setting is seriously impressive, I find it works best when listening to something with an acoustic drum kit as it really brings out the kit and makes it sound 3D in your ears. The noise cancelling is fantastic. The microphone quality is incredible. Overall, these headphones are faultless. Would recommend to anyone! 5*

I bought these a couple weeks ago to help with my trip to Thailand. Planes can be a noise place and that doesnt help when youre trying to sleep. These were different class and shut out soo much noise i was able to sleep for a good few hours. Sound really impressive, quality is better than Bose i bought at the same time. Would recommend these for sure. The new model is out but im not sure the extra ££ is worth it with these being soo good.

I bought this headphones and ended returned. The reason for that is because no one could hear me by speaker and I sound is not really great. The noise cancelling is perfect. However, if I want to buy a good noise cancellation headphones only I would prefer the construction ones works same and much cheaper. The Bluetooth connection is really challenging, you must download an app first and set up everything. So overall my 3 starts goes only for the good cancelling noises.

I purchased (and returned) these 03-2021. When connected to my 2020 Samsung Smart TV (and sitting 6 feet in front of the TV) they glitched a few times per minute. I re-tested multiple times along with my Bose QC35 and JBL Bluetooth Headphones. Both the Bose QC35 and JBL Headphones worked flawlessly yet the Sony WH-1000XM4 constantly glitched. Perhaps my pair were defective or perhaps it is a design flaw because when connected to my iPhone they performed better. They were fully charged at the time of testing.

I've read complaints that the noise cancellation turns on and off randomly, when in fact, this is a safety feature that uses your phones motion detection to tell the system you might e walking and lowers the noise cancellation level to help you maintain situational awarenessg . The first few times the north cancellation turns on, it will feel like your ears have clogged. After a few uses, your. ears will adjust.

Had the previous WH-1000XM3 for some time and was really pleased with the performance. It is easily the best noise cancelling head set you can get. Then Sony release an updated version WH-1000XM4........ Some subtle changes to the dynamics, that are improvement's to an already great sound. Is it worth the money.......... yes. You could go for the WH-1000XM3 that have come down in price (below £200) and you would not be disappointed.

I've been waiting forever for Sony to release the follow-up to the WH1000XM3s, and it seems like these were worth waiting for. They took everything that was great about the last model and added a handful of useful features, like two-device pairing and an automatic wear sensor. These headphones are comfortable, sound great, and seem to have the best active noise cancelling (ANC) on the market. Highly recommended!

Overall it is a great product for a good price, it does have many options and features some of them a bit confusing but mostly great. The charging cable is a joke, you will need an extra cable to charge. The app not always works well may be is my phone but the headphones itself works prefect and the battery last a good amount of time

I wanted a good pair of headphones and i researched a bit and Sony XM4 were a good option. I was considering Soundcore Space q45 only cause it was a cheaper option but due to the black Friday sale and student discount,.it was worth $50 more than the q45. The noise cancellation is amazing and that's what i was looking for. They have a comfortable fit.

Love my new Sony ANC headphones. There are a lot out there to choose from and in the end I bought these, they are comfortable on the ears cancel’s all noise and have several great features. I can answer my telephone calls, change the volume, skip to the next song etc all by a touch of the ear piece, and the battery is long lasting. I’m in my late 60’s but I would recommend these for all ages.

I went into B&H looking for a pair of noise-cancelling headphones. The floor attendant told me that it would be mostly a toss-up between Sony and Bose for top-of-the-line equipment. I eventually settled on Sony because I was more interested in listening to natural voice than to bass and musical effects. So far so good. I am happy with the performance, which kept my ears protected during the 9-hour flight home.

I really like these headphones. Excellent noise cancellation, but when I notice someone talking to me I can quickly switch to ambient sound with a quick hand gesture on one of the earpads. Music sound brilliant and unlike with my old headphones I can turn the volume right down when I want to listen quietly before falling asleep. Comfortable fit, too. Excellent value. Wouldn’t be without them now.
