The sound is really very stunning, I actually took my head phones off for a while, to make sure my neighbors couldn't hear the wonderful sound. Of course, my neighbors couldn't hear me, I had head phones on, but that's how fantastic the sound it with these headphones.

Bought my last pair in 2006 and they lasted me until 2011. I, myself chewed through the cord while mixing on them (mixing habbit) and instead of getting them repaired I just decided to order new ones. I now chew gum when mixing in these.

It's been selected for an everyday usage and we know this one will last many years. Good quality audio, easy to use and confortable. Some audiophile could complain but keep in mind it's not a $ headphone! Great value!

Love everything about these headphones with one exception, the folding ear cups make it harder to put on headphones. They sound great and are comfortable to wear for hours at a time.

The Sony MDR-7506 headphones are used as monitoring headphones for field video productions, and are pretty much the industry standard for field production. Quality sound although rather bulky. The fact that they collapse and comes with its own carrying case makes it easy to pack them for the road.

Sony MDR-7506 are a reliable reference for professional audio monitoring. I've been using them in my studio both in the control room and recording booth for years, and have added new sets to the ones that keep on delivering. I have come to count on their consistency and accuracy, and know that other professionals can count on their results as well.

Good to use for professional stuff, but I have trouble using it for some everyday things like my TV or laptop. I start getting interference in the sound some how but when I use it with my recording equipment it's great.

These are the only headphones I will use. It's gotta be the SONY-MDR 7506's or nothing else. They are built to take the punishment of day to day use by a radio person. That's what I do. Highly recommend these...and the price here at B&H is the lowest I've ever paid for a pair!

I use these to listen to music at work. they isolate your music very well, so at high volumes they block the sound getting out very well. They are clean, the bass is nice and deep. i got a c-moy amp and the sound is improved much. I'm quite happy with these.

I've been using this model for years. The clarity and true representation is never disappointing. I have a pair that I've had for almost 15 years and they still perform beautifully. I'm a very picky vocalist and have never found anything that sounds this good for the price.

These are great for a wide varity of uses. They are great for the price. They are not top of the line in form or function but suitable for the majority of projects that I have. They are comfortable enough to wear for a prolonged period of time. Safe buy for sure.

Durable and reliable, the Monitor Headphone by Sony is indispensable. We use it to monitor sound recording in the field. Perhaps a little bulky and a little heavy -- it can be cumbersome when you are shooting on the fly. But the quality of the product more than makes up for these minor issues.

Sony released a couple new models to surpass the quality of the 7506, and reviews have been lukewarm. At $ these are a bargain and are far better than any $300 Beats headset. They are still the standard with most of us pro film sound recordists.

I have many headphones and these ones hit the sweet spot. They are perfectly balanced and neutral sounding. They might not reveal as much fine detail as other headphones but they excel at everything else. Easy to drive and isolate well for recording. Wish I bought a pair sooner.

Headphones are used as monitors for vocalist singing and recording to a performance track. Using with a small headphone amp. Sound is clear and clean. Not too much bass, just good detail over the vocal range.

We have some of these at the radio station I work at. These were purchased for my own hobby of collecting sounds, where I needed a closed ear, light weight set of headphones that I would not mind wearing. These do the job.

I use the product for video interviews to monitor sound levels. They provide a great environment to hear the audio cleanly. The cord is really long, which has proven to be great as well as annoying... depending on the day.

I personally have never heard headphones quite this good, delivering clear and transparent sound. Frankly, the best word to describe the quality is thrilling. They create almost a dimension in sound. By comparison, the Bose noise-cancelling headphones sound muddy.
