The price is right for these clear, crisp, well balanced headphones. I'm getting an accurate representation of my music projects when compared with my external Adam monitors. Very comfortable on the ears too.

Best headphone i've ever used. I don't think anything under $ can match these. They are inexpensive, have a clear sound and the quality of the build is impressive. I can wear them for hours without any inconfort/pain. I would buy again.

I've had a pair of these headphones for a long time and needed another pair. The original ear pads always eventually flake off and leave black specs all over. The deep earpads do block more sound than the original, are comfortable and I'm hoping won't flake apart as it ages. The headphone case is a bit large. Will see if I actually use it.

I use the Headphones while at college. Noise abounds in the classes, these headphones are amazing. My Professor chose these headphones and I used them in my video class. Had to have them after that. They are great blocking out noise, and it really has great sound as well.

The sound is very neutral. Tight bass with no extra boost. Comfort on the ears and head: Doesn't feel like your head is stuck in a vice. Construction of the headphones seems to be excellent. Folds up into a small space.

You can't really go wrong with a pair of Sony headphones - and the MDR-7506 headphones are no exception. Full range of sound, very comfortable, over the ear fit, very sturdy and reliable, and they nicely fold and carry inside of the provided leather bag. Will absolutely be buying another pair as my studio expands.

NO at all disappointed. I bought this because I moved to a storey building where my room faces the streets. I wanted something that could keep the noise of passing cars out while I record Youtube covers. The low frequency response is mind blowing too....has never gotten distorted despite massive lows in the stuff I do. I just wish the cable was detachable.......but that is no issue.

I use this model for monitoring and mixing in my studio. These headphones are the best I have ever used and goes right along in the same category as the SM57 microphones. Best sound and amazing price for the performance!

After borrowing this model from my audio-video son for a year, I have finally made the plunge. These headphones are great, comfortable, not too isolating, and very linear for a classical music buff. Presence is very good. You just won't find better headphones for the money. The long cord is a real plus!

...very comfortable and is great for a simple pair of monitor headphones. As I am not an audiophile but rather a sound engineer I prefer the best raw sound as opposed to the highest fidelity. These phones work great for giving you a raw sound without too much bass. A more accurate sound is what I work with, and these deliver.

The sound is fantastic. Such an upgrade from the cheap earphones that came with my MP3 player. They are a pleasure for listening to music at the beach or in a deck chair. They are comfortable, although they do slide back a bit, if you are lying down flat. They do fold up easily for travel and come with a pouch, that is great for sticking in your carry on bag. It was an excellent value.

These headphones are very well designed. They're durable, sturdy, and able to take a beating. As for sound, they are flat. If you want an enjoyable listening experience then these headphones aren't for you. But for mixing, tracking, and critical listening, these headphones will not disappoint. Although there are more expensive options, these headphones are a great option for music producers.

I have been using hand me down headphones from my son and they are ok but they aren't really for monitoring. These, as far as I can tell, are very flat and are giving me what the sound is really like. I really like how the adjusters have markings on them. It's nice to be able to have the same fit just by adjusting to the numbers. I recommend these headphones especially for the price.

This is my sencond 7506 and I just bought it as a backup. I use this headphone for video editing and encoding and have been using my firtst one 5 days a week for eight years now but it is sitll in good condition. Ear pad is somewhat vulnerable and you may need to replace it every year or two but if you think of sound quality, durability and price, there is nothing better than this one.

The MDR-706 Headphones are an indispensable standard in the field and the studio. I've owned probably 10 sets in my career without ever having a failure. Now keeping them from walking off on the set that's another story. Buy them, you won't be disappointed, they're a real work horse and sound great!

These offer a really refined balance of highs and lows- perfect for audio mastering and field recording. They are also just great for music enjoyment of all kinds. I looked at headphones of 2-3 times the price and read nothing but praise for these-- I have to agree, for the money, I couldn't ask for more.

As a professional musician, voiceover artist and radio broadcaster, I need headphones that are durable, reliable and provide clear, even sound every time. Sony's MDR-7506 headphones are all that and more. They are very reasonably priced for what you get. That's why I, and countless other pros use them. You should too!

I have a home studio and need things a little quieter at night. The MDR-7506 are the only pair of headphones I've used. I love the sound quality and feel of the headphones on my ears. They are durable, reliable and will last you many years. Sure you can pay more for something else but there really is no need to. For under $, that sounds just perfect and so do the MDR's.

My 20 year old Sony Professional headphones finally died after one too many drops to the floor. I purchased these as a replacement. I use these headphones to do run and gun video production and music (primarily piano) recitals. They provide full range frequency sound which allows me to hear all of the bad notes.

I must have had my MDR-V6 headphones for more than 10 years. They got used hard all those years too. If you mix you know you are constantly slipping your phones from your head to your neck. These do it with ease. They also make it easy to cue with one ear by folding over, never feeling akward or uncomfortable. Unfortunately, durable as they were, they were not strong enough to withstand being crushed in my trucks tailgate yesterday. I am so happy to see the MDR line is still available.
