These are a great pair of headphones for the money. I bought these to use on my e-drum kit. The only slight negative would be that they are a bit tight on my head. This could be because I wear glasses and the headphones start to hurt after a while.

We have several pairs of these in the studio and they rarely disappoint. There are a few serious competitors in this range now like the Sennheiser HD280, but one of the benefits to owning the Sony pair is that if you learn to work with them, you will have predictable results almost anywhere because they are so ubiquitous. Pros: They sound great and you can hammer nails with them. Cons: Coiled cord, nearly identical to the cheaper Sony V6 pair.

...very comfortable and is great for a simple pair of monitor headphones. As I am not an audiophile but rather a sound engineer I prefer the best raw sound as opposed to the highest fidelity. These phones work great for giving you a raw sound without too much bass. A more accurate sound is what I work with, and these deliver.

I purchased these headphones a few weeks ago. Comparing with AKG circumaural K240, the Sony ones have a deeper lower freq sound. If you use it to master or just to monitor your recordings, then consider that it produces some loudness, that means that it gives more higher and lower frequencies that it should. Overall: good headphones (better and more comfortable than the Sennheiser HD 280)

These phones are fantastic value. Transparent sound for music, clear precise bass, accurate sound repro. I use them for listening to music, movies and gaming. The cord is a little long for commuting and mobile listning but its great that its long for sitting around your desk, lots of movement. to thats a pro/con. But they are wonderful all around phones.

This is an outstanding product for radio announcers. As many know, we put our headphones on and off frequently, and we need a sturdy pair of headphones that feature terrific sound dynamics. Simply won't use any other brand!

As a professional musician, voiceover artist and radio broadcaster, I need headphones that are durable, reliable and provide clear, even sound every time. Sony's MDR-7506 headphones are all that and more. They are very reasonably priced for what you get. That's why I, and countless other pros use them. You should too!

Just bought a third set as my first are 20 years old but still going. Love the sound and simple folding for field work. It now comes in a sturdy fabric bag instead of the classic faux leather, but a great headphones either way.

Sony MDR-7506 Headphones are one of the most prestigious headphones for audio production for a reason. Highs, mids, and lows are crystal clear and I'm able to wear these for hours without the ear pain. Could not recommend these headphones enough.

These are my go-to road cans. They are industry standard, durable, reliable and offer good isolation. You always know what they're going to be and they're reasonably priced -- what more could you want?

These headphones reminded me how good music and audio in general can sound. I had gotten way too used to cheap earbud headphones and was blown away by the amazing quality of the sound from these headphones. Reasonably priced I feel they were a great buy and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a solid pair of audiophile quality headphones.

I am on my second pair of these Sony Headphones. Unfortunately my first pair literally fell apart. Then the cord malfunctioned after 9 months. Maybe I got a bad pair I don't know but the second pair sounds different(More Highs).I know that I paid only a mere $but I expected better from all the talk about these Headphones. They do keep the noise out very well and fit just right, but if you are clumsy like me, these are not the headphones for you.

These are fabulous, deep and bright sounding headphones. In my opinion, the best product at its price point, clear and full spectrum, and durable . The folding aspect and bag they come with make them ultimately poirtable as well..

This is a great pair. I just finished mixing a short film using these. Although I'm not a professional mixer by any means, just a director mixing my own projects, but had no negative comments on the mix from audio professionals. Great for the price. Earpads might be a little tight but highly recommended.

These are not for Audiophiles, if you are looking for those set of headphones look at the AKG K 702 Headphones. These should be used for monitoring of audio inputs for video recordings. Don't get me wrong, these are good headphones overall and I used them on flights just to avoid carrying two sets of headphones when I travel around. I cannot speak highly enough especially for the price.

I work in the entertainment industry but, as I'm more visually discerning, I have no real appreciation for critical listening. On the advice of a local sound guru who described the MDR-7506 as his recommendation and the industry standard I purchased these cans for my father-in-law who also is very sonically-inclined. He loves them. Hope that helps.

This is my sencond 7506 and I just bought it as a backup. I use this headphone for video editing and encoding and have been using my firtst one 5 days a week for eight years now but it is sitll in good condition. Ear pad is somewhat vulnerable and you may need to replace it every year or two but if you think of sound quality, durability and price, there is nothing better than this one.

These offer a really refined balance of highs and lows- perfect for audio mastering and field recording. They are also just great for music enjoyment of all kinds. I looked at headphones of 2-3 times the price and read nothing but praise for these-- I have to agree, for the money, I couldn't ask for more.

I have always like the 7506's more than any other headphones in the price range. You can find more exquisite headphones, but in my opinion, not at this price point. The only thing Sony missed with these is making earpads that fully cover the ears, and Auray addressed that with their aftermarket earpads for these 'phones. The combo is my go-to for tasks from editing to live music mix.

These sound good and are comfortable. But for everyday use with high school media students, they aren't holding up. Each ear pad is connected to a thin and fragile wire that breaks too easily and looks quite difficult to repair (unless may you have a jeweler's magnifier and terrific soldering skills).
