These are amazing earphones, so good that I swear my audio track quality has improved just because of the clarity of the sound while I'm shooting. I now see why they have become legendary. I do have one gripe; the cord is WAY too long for my liking. It must be 12' when uncoiled. As I'm monitoring off the video camera, 2 feet would be ample. I wish the cord could be interchanged easily.

I had these for many years, and have been amazed at how many profesional use then all over the world,tv, radio, etc. I broke the connector or I would still have it. They have a good sound, it handles the los and high with out over doing. Excellent head shoes with excellent price. Yes you can find better if you need hi fidelity sound , but you will pay much more

I use this product for audio capture on location. It blocks out external noise so I can be certain and focus on obtaining the best sound possible. I have no issues with the headphones but I do wish it had a clip to hold the cable secure against my clothes so it doesn't place all the weight of the cable on the connection.

I work in the film business and took a survey from sound mixers/recordists and they all suggested these as the workhorse of the industry. I purchased them and I am very happy with what I hear. It turns out my wife who is a singer and radio host also prefers them to my other headphones and I can never find them. I am happily buying another pair fortunately they are affordable.

Beautiful product. Incredible sound quality, people clamor to listen to them. Very lightweight, comfortable to use (even more comfortable with pearstone velour pads, $). Very mobile, as they fold up compactly. The cord can get a little annoying because of its length, and they're not the best-looking headphones, but these are very minor gripes. Altogether I recommend them immensely.

...very comfortable and is great for a simple pair of monitor headphones. As I am not an audiophile but rather a sound engineer I prefer the best raw sound as opposed to the highest fidelity. These phones work great for giving you a raw sound without too much bass. A more accurate sound is what I work with, and these deliver.

These are fabulous, deep and bright sounding headphones. In my opinion, the best product at its price point, clear and full spectrum, and durable . The folding aspect and bag they come with make them ultimately poirtable as well..

As a professional musician, voiceover artist and radio broadcaster, I need headphones that are durable, reliable and provide clear, even sound every time. Sony's MDR-7506 headphones are all that and more. They are very reasonably priced for what you get. That's why I, and countless other pros use them. You should too!

The MDR-706 Headphones are an indispensable standard in the field and the studio. I've owned probably 10 sets in my career without ever having a failure. Now keeping them from walking off on the set that's another story. Buy them, you won't be disappointed, they're a real work horse and sound great!

After borrowing this model from my audio-video son for a year, I have finally made the plunge. These headphones are great, comfortable, not too isolating, and very linear for a classical music buff. Presence is very good. You just won't find better headphones for the money. The long cord is a real plus!

I have a home studio and need things a little quieter at night. The MDR-7506 are the only pair of headphones I've used. I love the sound quality and feel of the headphones on my ears. They are durable, reliable and will last you many years. Sure you can pay more for something else but there really is no need to. For under $, that sounds just perfect and so do the MDR's.

First, thanks for the great service and fast shipment. Got it within a day. It wasn't easy to choose a headphone to buy since there are too many models and too many reviews of experts so I decided to choose the brand I know since the 80's and if it is good enough for the music industry then it is great for me. The sound is a very clean stereo kind with no unnecessary special effects.

NO at all disappointed. I bought this because I moved to a storey building where my room faces the streets. I wanted something that could keep the noise of passing cars out while I record Youtube covers. The low frequency response is mind blowing too....has never gotten distorted despite massive lows in the stuff I do. I just wish the cable was detachable.......but that is no issue.

I am on my second pair of these Sony Headphones. Unfortunately my first pair literally fell apart. Then the cord malfunctioned after 9 months. Maybe I got a bad pair I don't know but the second pair sounds different(More Highs).I know that I paid only a mere $but I expected better from all the talk about these Headphones. They do keep the noise out very well and fit just right, but if you are clumsy like me, these are not the headphones for you.

I am casting live for students this year and wanted a headphone upgrade. I love the headphones and the case. I am in one location, so size is not an issue. The only part I don't like are the deep ear pads. They are substantially smaller than the original pads. They do not fit...between a quarter to half an inch too small. They are a waste in this case.

I love these field head phones. They are a great companion to any studio or camera and head phone combo. They provide accurate audio from what ever devise you are using. This is my second pair I have purchased for my second Canon XA10.

The Sony Headphones are pretty flat sounding but with a slight treble flavor. Absolutely great for video and boom work when you don't want the 'enhanced' audio experience. They rest easy on you head and have the right amount of push and cushioning. The 'oldschool' cable looks the part, but I can imagine it getting tangled pretty easily. This far I'm really satisfied with buying them.

This is my sencond 7506 and I just bought it as a backup. I use this headphone for video editing and encoding and have been using my firtst one 5 days a week for eight years now but it is sitll in good condition. Ear pad is somewhat vulnerable and you may need to replace it every year or two but if you think of sound quality, durability and price, there is nothing better than this one.

These offer a really refined balance of highs and lows- perfect for audio mastering and field recording. They are also just great for music enjoyment of all kinds. I looked at headphones of 2-3 times the price and read nothing but praise for these-- I have to agree, for the money, I couldn't ask for more.
