No hay palabras, no conozco sonido que no pueda ser registrado aceptablemente por este micrfono. y tampoco conozco locacin a la que no pueda ser llevado, haga lo que haga, vaya donde vaya, siempre llevo un par en mi maleta.

Hey, I was SM57-less all along, then got me 3 of them (from BH Photo Video) for instrument miking (including drums), and now I'm placing an order for more of these. You-can't-go-wrong. Only thing though, I was wondering why the top head spun around freely. It does not come off as a result, but it just feels strange/cheap in this area.

I use the SM57 for recording guitar amps, speakers in isolation cabinets and snare drums. Excellent construction and performance and Shure has kept the price at $99 for as long as I can remember. An excellent tool for recording.

Great all around mic. Fantastic mic for snare. Top and bottom miking for recording the snare drum.

The SM57 is iconic. These are workhorse mics. I think there are plenty of mics that sound better in the same price range (ish) of these, but anyone looking to work in audio should own atleast two 57s.

Still the best dynamic mic for a lot of applications. I use it to amplify my cellist during rehearsals, sounds great. I also use it with a ribbon mic to capture my tube amps. Great stuff and tough as nails too!

I've been using it for spoken word applications like VO and podcasts. In retrospect I probably should have gone with the SM58 for what I'm using it for, but I'm not complaining. Just needs a good pop screen to combat plosives.

Yeah there are a lot of comparable mic's out there in the same price range, but you can't go wrong with a 57.

A classic that never gets old. It's a great mic. Its shape lies in its verstatility, good for all uses. Every penny worth it.

Mic sounds awesome. Why wouldn't it, it's a Shure! The stand and mic cable are great for my home use.

Got this product 2-years ago for Christmas. Just opened the box to set up Home Studio (finally). The mic stand included in this package is cheap, flimsy and came with stripped-out aluminum threads - won't hold microphone. Had it two years, not knowing they sent a USED piece of gear that someone else jacked-up before it was sent to me. I'm not even attempting to return something that was purchased that long ago. Also, within the poorly packaged products, due to banging around on shipment, several of the plastic cord clips were snapped in half on arrival. No matter the amount of money I've spent over the years, both in the store and online, nobody there knows my name. In the 90s, I knew all the Drum Department; now, nobody seems to care. ... More

I was using a vocoder with a lower quality microphone and I had a lot of problems with feedback. Since I bought the Shure SM57, all the problems have been solved.

I use the SM57 to Mike my Bassbreaker during live performances. I'm very impressed how dynamic the SM57 is.

These do ~90% what a $1k mic will get you for 1/10th the price. They seem to be mid to high range focused and lack a little low end definition. Over all I’m really happy with them though.
