It didn't take out as much white noise as I would have liked but it is still much better than the on board mic with the 7D.

Kinda disappointing. Was really looking forward to its size and quality, but it ruined a whole day of film.. My fault for not checking it every two seconds. Also the battery it came with was dead.

Got this for a 5D Mark II. The Mark II has internal gain issue which results in a hiss. It's not the fault of the MKE 400, which does the job it's asked to do. Don't forget to turn it off!

It's a good mic, well built but there is no light to tell that it is on. Also, the on-off switch is easy to knock on. Overall, I'm satisfied.
