I bought these headphones as an upgrade from my Sennheiser HD570, and the sound is much better. They are plugged directly into the audio out of my computer, for music/movies/gaming. I was afraid the high impedance of the HD600 would demand a headphone amplifier, but they work ok without one. Unfortunately the pressure on my ears & head is much higher than the HD570 so I can't say they are as comfortable. Hopefully over time the spring tension will relax and provide better comfort.

I use these for editing a lot of acoustic source material from on-location recordings when I can't be in my studio. They sound very natural and un-hyped. Tonal balance is quite neutral. I've made complete mixes on these that translate very well to other systems although I am using SonarWorks Reference plugin on my mix buss to achieve a flatter frequency response. Either way highly recommended for critical mix or listeenig applications. Great value for the price.

Really accurate representation of the mid-range. These are pretty darn flat from about 150Hz up to about 7 or 8kHz. I feel comfortable making EQ decisions on them. Bass starts to roll off noticeably around 100Hz but they don't sound thin. Not good for tracking or listening in noisy environments due to the open backs, but fantastic for reference while mixing. Build quality is honestly kind of disappointing. Compared to my Beyer DT 770s, these feel kind of flimsy. Lots of thin plastic in the headband. We'll see how they hold up over time. Not a pair of headphones you can just throw in a bag. I wish they still came with a carrying case. ... More

The imaging and frequency balance are as advertised; very balanced with a lush midrange and overall mix of warmth and detail. That said the presentation did not agree with my ears. The soundstage felt like it was inside my head to the point it really bothered me. Like everything, listening is subjective and clearly there are tons of hd600 owners who didn't have my experience. Regardless, said soundstage is widely regarded as average at best. I was surprised to be so let down by such a benchmark set of cans and sold em down the river.

While I've only had the Sennheiser 600s for two weeks, I can honestly say that for the price they are a no-brainer purchase and even competes with headphones priced up to $1000. The Sennheiser 600s are very, very response headphones that do need power to drive them properly---I'm using a P5 Parasound preamp. They do not reproduce or accentuate deep, heavy bass; but instead, provide a narrow sound stage with incredible clarity. My only negatives are is that I would prefer a wider sound stage, and listening to my favorite Rush tracks, Neal Pert's cymbals were muted and short lived.

I wrote a review a little longer than B&H allows and I'm not about to rewrite it to fit. You may find the complete review elsewhere. My review concluded this way: I'm pleased with the Sennheiser 600s. The company would have won a 5 star rating from me if they had included a shorter cable to connect the headphones to the iPhone - the cable that comes with the phones makes the system clumsy. I bought a one meter cable which various rating services said was adequate but I would have preferred to have had one chosen by Sennheiser and included in the package. ... More

I have LCD2's, Grados, Audio-Technica, Beyer T1, T90, DT1350, and many others...this HD600 is one of the nicest balanced headphones around. Its a CLASSIC and still performs very well. Music sounds like it supposed to...tonality...presentation. At this price this is the real deal. Just buy it...and enjoy!!

I bought this for my Kawai MP11. I originally tried Shure SRH440s and found them uneven and buzzy at higher dynamics. The Sennheisers have a cleaner, sweeter sound, and are more consistent throughout the dynamic range. They also stay in place better than the Shure headphones if my head moves while I play. People who aren't moving around might find them too snug, but for me that's a plus.

I use this product for mixing video and sound in Adobe After Effects and it gets the job done perfectly. I have an o2 headphone amplifier.ODac and that combination sounds like my uncle's pair of expensive loudspeakers. However, It is no slouch when connected directly to the output jack. Highly recommend.

In the tradition of Sennheiser's audiophile headphones, these phones deliver transparent clean sound, without undue coloration. They are comfortable for extended wear. My only minor complaint is that the cord ends in an 1/8 inch plug, with a 1/4 inch adapter attached. I'd prefer the main plug to be 1/4 inch to plug into mixing consoles without the adapter. I guess they are just responding to the current market of people who want to use these phones with a tablet or computer instead of pro audio equipment.

I never mixed with headphones before because it just sounded so odd when I tried. I was told to try these and it really helps - it is as comfortable as with real speakers - You can make eq and balance decisions with them. Great for low end listening where most home studio monitors fail.

The HD 600 is a fantastic high quality professional headphones. The sound is warm but succinct showing its ability to give the listener a given for such for a pair of headphones. The over all fit is wonderful as there is a light feel on the head but that does not interfere with its output. I feel that Sennheiser HD 600 headphones would be one of best headphones for studio recording. The headphones are a great price with equal performance!

Sound is full, flat, and wide. Great for enjoying or mixing. Price is right. I feel you get more than what you pay for with these. Feel is nice. You will never realize how much those expensive leather ear pads suck until you try these cloth ones. Even though they are 300 ohms, they don’t require much power, so they truly are remarkable!

Absolutely fantastic performance and comfort! I'm getting ready to make replacement cables in balanced mode... as a headphone amplifier is a requirement (or at least a device that will drive high impedance headphones). My suggestion for amplifier - Schiit Jotunheim

Not sure why BH doing that, but it keeps sending an open box with someone's hair inside. This is just unacceptable. Especially during COVID time. Other than that looks like those headphones are high quality made.

More faithfully represents the sound than any headphones I've used so far. My favorite band is symphonic metal, so there's a lot going on in their music. I had been disappointed at the newest release, until I listened to it on these headphones. If you listen to complex music, I highly recommend these headphones.

These are the standard reference headphones for audiophiles. You get them for exactly that reason. No extra bass, no extra treble, just the music as intended

At this price there's no other headphone that can match the Hd600's. They are about as neutral as you can get in this price range. Bass is tight but not boomy. The mids are airy and open. They are quite comfortable too.

Spectacular Performance like what the internet said. Works well for mixing, quality is good!. B&H handled the shipping from America to Asia very well. They shipped on time and helps us tracks our parcel status via DHL! I'm very satisfied and of course will get my non-available asian gear investments here.
