Good soundstage, good frequency response, comfortable fit. There's not much that's lacking, but not any one aspect that's outstanding either. The HD800's with the wider soundstage would be better for classical/symphonic music, but the 600's are better for everything else with their more natural high end.

At this price there's no other headphone that can match the Hd600's. They are about as neutral as you can get in this price range. Bass is tight but not boomy. The mids are airy and open. They are quite comfortable too.

I had been using a pair of Sony MDR-V6 studio headphones for years and years and always thought them fine. A friend convinced me to try these Sennheiser HD 600 and they are astonishinly better than my old trusty Sonys in every way - the clarity and sense of space in stereo recordings is amazing.

it may be worth paying the $ extra for the HD-650s for the better cable. But the 600s sound excellent and are very comfortable. You might be able to get the same sonic quality for less but not with the nice ear pads I suspect. If you have a big head you should try them on before you buy as they are a tight fit

I am an amateur sound engineer. I've spent the last few years looking for equipment with better sound, but not being able to afford 'the best'. My Kali speakers are good. I have K&K headphones that I thought reproduced sound well. But..... these are so much better! Clear bass response down to lower frequencies. Sparkling highs. Solid mids. What else can one ask for?

I have wanted another pair of these since my HD650's literally wore out. Less money, but I believe sound is just as good, if not better, and have a better fit for a smaller head. You can wear them comfortably for hours, even with a pair of glasses.

The best sounding headphones I've ever owned. I would also recommend buying the replacement Cable for HD650 that make the HD600 sound better.

I use these with my Adam A7x speakers and they're the first headphones I've bought where it doesn't sound like I'm listening to a different mix when I put my headphones on. I've got Focal, AKG and another pair of Sennheiser's, but these are the best.

Needed to loosen the clamping force. Sound fantastic. Very comfortable after adjusting clamping force. Disappointed that the chord does not come with an adapter to 1/8.

These are redesigned of the previous marbled headband headphones. i think they look better than the previous gen and the sound seems to be the same. Good for the money but just make sure you have a good AMP/DAC to drive them to their full potential.

I use them on my computer, my receiver phone jack and quite supprised that they sounded so well on my iPhone SE without amping.

Overall great sound, especially beautiful high end. Generally flat color, very descriptive of the spectra. Great for mixing, good for mastering. One catch is the noise that the foam makes when you wear them - the only way to achieve silence is to be very still. Still would highly recommend!

These headphones are perfect for melting the stress away at the end of a long hard day. The headband is extremely comfortable, and the ear pads fit snug around your ears. Symphonies are well represented with the highs being crisp and clear. The mids are very present and the lows (bass) is evident but not too punchy. Everything is just right. With these headphones, you get a bouquet of symphonic sound. Very impressive! A separate headphone amplifier is a must.

Not an audiophile, but there's feel amazing to me, both sound wise and on my head. Soundstage is the best I've heard so far, and it does great for extended listening. Got some pain points initially when I had glasses on, but found the sweet spot so it no longer happens!

SENNHEISER HD600 are a great addition to my ONKYO portable audio player. Playing FLAC AUDIO files is a joy as the headphones bring out the best in audio.

I listen to these on a media player that plays lossless formats and through a small amplifier currently, these headphones reproduce the played music perfectly without any coloration. These are an excellent headphone for anyone that would like faithfully reproduced music.

Excellent piece of gear, ideal long hours of editing and maybe mixing. The legend is alive, I love them. Don't expect a powerful high end from these but the low frequency response is amazing.
