I use the product for music from my iPhone and also for audio on video productions that I create. A bonus is the microphone that allows me to make phone calls. The product works well for my needs.

I was looking for a reasonably-priced pair of monitoring headphones for my studio, and B&H must have read my mind! The SMH-1200 headphones are GREAT reference "cans." An honest-sounding signal with just enough extra bass to give one a true sense of what's happening in the low frequencies. Mid-range and high frequencies don't get squashed, and the stereo field is rich with depth and dynamics. I was ready to spend a hundred dollars more on another brand that had disappointed me in the past. How much better to get TRUE reference phones at a GREAT price! Highly recommended!

The Senal SMH-1200 headphones are very well built. I especially like the removable, lockable cable and the replaceable ear cushions. They are very comfortable. As far as the sound quality is concerned I give four stars. A little too much base for me and a little mushy in the mid-tones but still, very good.

Good sounding headphones. Not too much bass. I had a problem with the right ear not working. The company fixed it and stood behind their 3-year warranty. Comment about some of the reviews with intermittent sound with the cord. Likely cause is the cord not being locked by twisting it into the headset with a quarter turn.

I purchased these headphones as part of a daily DealZone deal, and am very happy with them. I needed headphones for field work that could easily fit in my bags or cases amongst other gear, and these fold up really well. Initially I missed the instruction re: locking the mini stereo jack into the headphones and kept having the sound cut out on me. Senal customer support were very patient in explaining that I probably just needed to lock the jack properly, and voila, the problem was solved. The audio quality is good, especially for the price, and the headphones are comfortable as well. ... More

I need very good headphones to edit my professional videos. These are superb. The sound is crystal clear, the isolation is great, and they are the most comfortable over-ear headphones I've owned. My only issue, and it's too minor to deduct a star, is that the jack on the phones is 2.5mm So the only kind of cord that cam be used with it is one, like the one that comes with it, that's 2.5mm at one end and 3.5mm at the other.

I use these mainly for listening to music, and sometimes on the playstation. I plan to do a little video work and use them for that, but we'll see. These headphones have a great range. The subtle nuances you pick up in songs you've heard lots of times is great. Not too much bass, which is what I liked about them. The price is also great, especially if you get them on a B&H sale.

These headphones have the potential to be really good, except for one major design flaw: the cable jack is not solid enough and with very little force, looses it's connection - the audio just cuts out completely. I originally bought two pairs, and both had the same problem where the cable plugs into the headphones. I returned them (kudos to B&H, no questions asked), and they sent two replacements. I was really disappointed to find they both did the same as the first pair! They are just not usable in the field where there is occasional tugging on the cable. Now, sitting still in an armchair, listening to music on my Samsung... they sound great. ... More

Put these right to use listing to my vinyl. Perfect tone/pitch for me !! These are light on the head, and comfortable to wear. Providing a 10 ft coiled cord and a short cord are a definite plus. I would buy these again, and recommend for anyone who wishes to enjoy a pleasant listening experience.

Bought this on sale and I'm pretty satisfied with the sound quality. It is lacking a little on the mid levels but doesn't bother me all that much. I also have Monsters and Beats studio. This would sit at the bottom among the three though.

These are the most unassuming Headphones I have. The great news is there is NO ATTEMPT by the manufacture to ALTER the sound combining out of my devices! I can really work much faster getting a nice FLAT real world sound!

Great phones in this price range and extremely comfortable. I have to ware headphones for hours at a time while doing video editing. Some headphones become uncomfortable after a while. Not these. One other point that is amazing about the SMH-1200, is that one of their connecting cords (two are included, has a mic so that you can communicate on your device. This mic is far superior than anything else out there. The sound running both ways is brilliant.

These are fantastic headphones, and I managed to pick them up on a sweet promotional deal. My old Sonys had finally gone kaput and I was in the market for a replacement. Unfortunately, the short cable (with microphone, which allows these headphones to be used for calls on a smartphone) is garbage. Any motion in the cable shorts the signal and makes setup virtually unusable. Maybe I just got a bad cord, but it's super frustrating to have this problem straight out of the box. Would have been 5 stars otherwise.

This headphone is a really great. I used this while editing videos. This one amplified the low frequency sounds very well. So there was not much difference between using this headphone and using big speakers. It completely covered my ears and was really easy to carry.

I work as an audiobook narrator, so I spend hours at a time with headphones on while I'm working. These are so comfortable I don't even notice I'm wearing them. They also sound great, with a clean, crisp sound that isn't punchy. The bass is warm without being pronounced, the mids are flat and the highs are crisp. I've very happy I found these on sale when I did!

Bought these on a whim when they were on sale during deal of the day. I wasn't expecting much but needed some headphones for video editing and to use while conducting interviews. To keep it short because no one cares, wore them for 8 hours editing and listening to audio and are very comfortable unlike my friends Koss.

I love the colors. Bought two of these in two different colors for my podcasts and YouTube videos. My guests as well as myself were absolutely stunned when it came to the sound quality. I went ahead and purchased 5 more. The ear cups are so comfortable that you won't feel like you have them on. This is a must have for any professional in the field that wants to monitor the sounds in their production.

Beautifully balanced but The cord connection is flawed. Perhaps I just need some more time with these however it seems like the connection between the cord and the headphones is easily stressed just by the weight of the cord. This causes a moment of static or intermittent silence.

These headphones are amazing. I can hear all the different layers of my edits so well and it does a great job of cancelling out any noise that's not being transmitted through the headphones.

I got this for $100 from B&H. I'm not too much of an audio guy, but for listening to music it's pretty good. I do feel however there's something missing in the midrange level so as far as mixing audio, these probably won't cut it.
