These are great Studio Monitors and can be used for entertainment purposes too. I have used them during tracking sessions in the studio, they are comfortable and sound just as good or better than other headphones in this price range. And the replaceable cables make it a really sweet deal.

Designed almost exactly like my old trusty Sony MDR-7506. Although it has somewhat limited base range, the detachable cables makes it ideal for field recording (handheld camera work).

I bought these headphones to use with my Nikon D4 for recording movie files. I'm sure audiophiles will tell you there is something better out there, but all I need is verification that the sound is clean going into my camera. For that purpose, these work just fine.

This is the 3rd pair of headsets I have owned and by far the best. That may not be saying much, but from my experience, you could do a LOT worse. Fits well, comfortable, good sound, and very portable. I use these for field audio monitoring.

They work great. I love that it has a detachable cable with two different lengths. That's honestly the reason I got these instead of replacing them with the Sony's that I use to get. Sound quality is the same.

I use these most for listening to music and the sound quality is great. Way better than the mainstream headphones I owned before. It really lets me hear parts of the song I didn't notice before (ex: Dark Fantasy). That it can fold on itself. makes it very easy for me to carry around. Great deal.

I've just begun to use these for DSLR video production. I was using a pair of Audio Technica M50, but they were just a little too big. These SMH-1000's are great; good sound, compact...I like the detachable cable; good build quality... Nice all around phones.

For the money, this is a great purchase. Sounds great, comfy adjustable fit and folds up small.

Maybe it's my head, but the headphones are a little too loose for my head and the sound seal with ear cups were too shallow and did not seal ambient noise enough

The audio quality is good but what I appreciate most about these headphones is the minimal distortion when the volume is changed. The audio stays crisp and clear even when loud. The earmuffs are not the most comfortable, but very bearable considering the price and the audio quality.

Bought this headphones on sale. I compared them to my beloved Sony MDR-V6. Both are physicaly similar. Sony has a slightly better sound for my taste.

I'm no audiophile but I do appreciate good sound, and these deliver. Good response across the spectrum. The low end doesn't really thump like some others, but I prefer the clearer, more accurate bass that these deliver. They're pretty comfortable but I wouldn't mind slightly deeper earcups.

Glad it came as recommended accessory to tascam recorder. It is a high quality headphone set at a value price. The fit is comfortable, even after a couple of hours.

My first foray into better quality audio, and I'm super impressed. They headphones seem solidly constructed, and are comfortable to wear. Sound quality is far superior to any headphones I've used in the past

These came as an added bonus for anothe product purchase. After using them for over an hour my ears did hurt. The sound reproduction is clear mid to high tones are crispy leaving much to be desired for the low end. If you like your bass this isn't the pair for you.

I use these for full day depos and training sessions. Very comfortable and block ambient noise in conference rooms. Work well with EXTRA DEEP EARPADS F/ 7506/SMH
