So far we are loving our ride wireless mics, the audio is clear and crispy even when we are at a long distance from the camera. The biggest reason why we got them was to use them during restaurant reviews, to have clear audio from us and less noise from others. If I have to point at something not so good, I would say there's always a mic that connects right away while the other one takes a long time (5-15 min) Once they are both connected, they are great

I purchased this so I can make presentations and training videos at a good 20+ feet from the camera outdoors and indoors. It is tiny and works great. It was super easy to set up and test. With a lav mic, you may find that you need to use the high gain setting. Even at that setting, I did not hear any clipping. Be aware that if you plan to use it with an Ipad or Smartphone (I'm using an Android), you will need either an SC7 or SC4 adapter cable, purchased separately.

I like this thing much more than I thought I would. Super versatile and portable. I mainly use it for back up audio in case an issue occurs with my boom audio. Redundancy is important. My only concern is that it doesn't record in itself, compared to other lav mic systems. I can't really think of a situation where this would be problematic to me personally, but if this concerns you, I'd definitively just go with the Tascam DR-10l.

They are tiny and sound great. The receiver screen gives you all the info you need. Transmission distance is WAY more than you need for what these are designed for. It has a strong radio. Battery life is very good and USB-C charging/running on both devices is a great addition. I only wish there was a -3db, -6db, -9db pad on the transmitter. However, the pre set gain amount is OK unless you have it recording a pretty loud source. Human voice can clip the mic if you yell loudly into the mic. Aside from that, generally speaking, these are crazy good. Buying a second set very soon. ... More

Given the size of the two devices that make up the Wireless GO, I kept my expectations on a reasonable level. However, after multiple tests, including using the GO system with a Rode VideoMic Pro+ as a boom mic, I have to say I am very impressed. I found myself using very basic noise reduction at default settings to get the end result I wanted. In indoor use, I found the audio was even cleaner. Suffice it to say, I think this is a great investment especially for indie film makers and for run and gun situations.

Have had a chance to use this microphone for two events and it seems like the perfect tool. The design is compact and easy to use and the sound is clear. I'm actually extremely pleased with this item and feel that it will revolutionize my ability to vlog or film any type of speaker. My only comment is that the on-off switches are a little hard to access and at one event I lost seconds of audio multiple times because the speaker started speaking several times while I was fiddling around trying to access the switch on the receiver.

The Wireless GO sounds and works great when in CLOSE range. I wouldn't recommend it for situations where audio is crucial because it can be unreliable at times. I think it's best suited for the run and gun vlogger or filmmaker that doesn't always use wireless but wants to have wireless in their camera bag just in case the need arises. It's small and instant to set up which is a huge advantage to those who are unfamiliar with setting up wireless professionally.

The first unit I got (without lavalier) was far too sensitive, especially with an external mic. (a lot of background noise, not related to DB output setting). B&H quickly processed a return and I ordered the set with the lavalier. This set works great with the built, in mic. the lav. or my headset. Good product, great service.

First off, the battery life has surprised me. One of the things I was worried about was the battery life as a usual day of shooting for me is no less than 2-hours. These have held up like champs as far as that goes with not even being half drained after a long shoot. Secondly, the quality has been great. Ive only used the built-in mic but it has been so much better than any wireless mic Ive used before. I definitely think its worth the price if youre looking into a compact setup for wireless audio.

This is a terrific mic. I bought a ~$100 no-name version that was hideous. The sound quality is excellent. The range is not huge, but realistic, especially in line of sight. It's not a surprise that it comes with two fuzzy windscreens because they don't attach to the mic very well. In fact, they don't attach very well at all. I still recommend this unit. It's light and effective! (You will likely need a TRS to TRRS adapter cable, in addition to a TRRS to Lightening cable to make a current version Iphone or Ipad work)

I bought this unit to save space in my bag. I am traveling for most of my shoots, and usually having to travel light. This unit works like a charm! I haven't tested the internal microphone, as I plugged in another lav, but I love the fact that the built in mic gives me a built in backup. I've just reviewed the footage from my first trip with the wireless go, and am pleased with the audio that was captured. I am especially pleased with the audio for the size of the transmitter and receiver. Definitely recommended.

After having the same problem described by many people regarding the use of an external mic and then the TX not reverting to the internal mic, Im completely happy now... Today I received the replacement kit for the Wireless Go and the system is now working properly. Im happy with the sound quality that this device has, its low weight, quality of the materials and easy of use. To sum up, although it was annoying at first, I have to recognize that this was a new product and things like this can happen. Its the customer service that matters and as soon as I contacted them, I had my replacement kit delivered, even though I live in Argentina.. Thanks Rode!!! ... More

Bought two units for interviews. Unfortunately I didn't use them until after the 30 day return window. One transmitter will no longer work on internal mic, and one receiver display stays on dim which makes it hard to see. The recordings were unusable due to static at various points. I used them in an auditorium with some overhead lighting and nothing else that I felt should have caused the static. Fortunately I had a backup recorder going. I am back to my trusty sennheiser g3.

We were using a RODE microphone attached to a Galaxy 10+ smartphone for livestreaming Sunday church services. On the livestream, audio was barely acceptable if person was closer to the camera and worthless when further away. We knew that we had to tie into the church's audio system but didn't want to run a cable down the aisle. Happened on the the Rode Wireless Go system and audio is 1000% better. After the switch people watching the livestream called me to ask what we changed. 5 Stars!

I bought this to replace a wired lapel mic for use in my wood workshop video making. The wired mic was just too hard to use moving around the shop, but the Rode makes it easy to go anywhere and get great sound. I use the built in mic and it sounds at least as good in my videos as the wired lapel mike. I'm still on the original battery charge after a week or so of on and off use. The mic does look a little bulky on my shirt, but I'm making wood shop videos where fashion doesn't count for anything. ... More

So I bought these over a month ago but only this week finally got the chance to use them on a shoot, and theyre fantastic. I used them as a B camera mic and the battery lasted all day, with juice in both units to spare. The sound is as good as a larger, costlier lavaliere setup I own and the onboard mic pickup works from a nice range of placements. Nice job, mates.

The only thing Im upset about is not buying this sooner. I bought boom mics, different podcast mics and would have saved a lot of money had I found this sooner. This is the best solution I have for regular podcast in and outdoor. You can use it straight with the mic on the transmitter is just a little uncomfortable for me like that, specially for videos longer than 10 minutes. We do use it like that when is a quick announcement video and the sound quality is amazing, but for podcast recording I recommend you use it with the Rode lav and is a win win combination. ... More

I was looking for an inexpensive microphone for setting up a zoom yoga class. After reading several reviews, I settled on the Rode system. It was the least expensive system which was reported to be of good quality. It was easy to set up and has worked very well with the built in mic. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a wireless mic system which produces excellent sound quality at a reasonable cost.

Pros: The audio quality is outstanding on this mic. The ease of use is 10 out of 10. The features do not leave you wanting. Cons: The wind muff (dead cat) that goes on the unit does not stay in place. The optional 3.5mm mic jack does not have a locking option. Conclusion: The pros far out weigh the cons, and really the cons may not be an issue for some at all. This is a must have addition to any film-makers kit, regardless of skill level.

Right out out of the box and I was good to GO! This system is easy to use and sounds great. I got it to add to my Rode Filmmaker kits. With my SmartLav+ and the Rode VXLR I can run this additional lav into my MixPre 3. The units were paired right from the start and the built in mic is a nice feature. I love Rodes quality & innovation. This should be in everyones kit for an on the spot interview.
