This mic did not clip securely into my iPhone 14 Pro Max. Falls out. Also my iPad Pro Max will not accept the lightning jack. Very disappointing.

Purchased this as a means to easily capture audio while video recording from an iPhone but it only seems to work through the rode recorder app, which doesn't capture video. not ideal.

This mic is so sensitive, it picks up every little bump, hand movement and gimbal noise. It's great if you're stationary or using a selfie stick that is further away from your hands. Really debated between 2 and 3 stars as it's more limited in use for me than I hoped.

I like the directional aspect. I use it for capturing bird songs. The downside is that when it is plugged into the iPhone you have to use headphones to hear the input. Fumbling with binoculars, camera, iPhone and wires makes for awkward and clumsy moments. If one were just after sound, it would be fine. Rode needs to have an option for sound to be played through the iPhone speakers.
