This simple and small yet powerfully effective mic works extremely well ALL things considered for getting the most from your iPhone! Really impressed and have done many interviews and recordings with this and is night and day from simply using your built in mic on your phone.

Sounds great. Don't waste your time on the lite version of the app. It just makes saving your files more difficult. Buy the paid version and you've got yourself a legit lav mic.

My first lavalier mic. The mic is good. Tried it on my phone and my recorder. Sounds a bit muddy in the low end, but it's EQ-able and for the price I can't complain. The wire seems coated to avoid kinking, nice touch. The clip is a little kludgy - you need to push the wire in the side slot pretty hard to get it to stay, but you can use some athletic tape to hold that too. Overall I'm satisfied.

I got this for vlogging. I wasn't expecting much, but am very happy with the audio quality from this little lav. I really like that you can get the same audio quality as more expensive wireless lav systems - just sacrificing convenience for price point. Pairs well with the Zoom H4n

I shot a promotional video for an email campaign and recipients couldn't believe it was done with an iPhone 8 and this lavaliere microphone.

It has great sound, but come on, another foot of cord can't cost more than a buck and would make this mic much better. Maybe even include a 2' extension or something, for the price, it could easily be nicer.

This mic has saved me on two shoots. I used it as a backup but you could use it as a primary. Very easy to set up. Download app. Plug in. Hit record and go. I wish there was an easy way to stop and start recording remotely so you don't have to keep walking over to an actor and start and stop the recording.

You get what you pay for. It's so portable convenient in every way, but it takes in a lot of ambient sound and hiss. Takes a lot of work in post to clean it up, and you can almost get away with it. But I wouldn't use it on a serious project.

This little guy does a great job in the right application. It's ideal for quick vlog or voiceover work that is close to an iphone or camera. I think the audio quality is about what you pay for- better than stock, less than pro. I'd suggest getting the extension for it because the cord length goes away pretty quickly.

The Rode smartlav+ does WONDERS for me, as I use it as a weekly vlogger for my YouTube channel. It's so small and so fast and easy to setup! Would definitely recommend it to my friends, and would DEFINITELY buy again.

Pro: The Lavaliers work well, and records voice's very clearly. Great for the limited budget filmer, and the price is right for the quality received. Con: The Lavaliers do create an echo and so connecting the voices to the images was tricky.

It's the best lavalier mic I have used. Good cable lenght, hight quality sound, and excellent build quality.

I have been looking for an inexpensive mic to use for quick video posts to Facebook, blog, and other social media. This mic preforms very well and has good sound quality. I do find it a bit lacking on lower end but that can be somewhat compensated for by closer location. Seems to have good isolation to background noise but I usually record in quieter places.

Used it once and audio came up with lots of interference. Bought two of them and the other one never worked. Tried recording with the iPhone in airplane mode and it didn't improve the audio quality. Will return both of them.

Not the greatest pickup but honestly considering it isn't amplified by anything and is so handy, can't hate it. Did a pretty good job for a documentary I'm working on with great sound quality, just didn't feel that pro though.

I'm a really big fan of this product. I produce wedding videos and this is what I use to mic up the groom during the vows. It's super convenient to have the whole system confined to my phone. It's easy for the groom to hide the phone in his jacket pocket, and it's easy for me to simply upload the audio to DropBox to retrieve later on my computer.

I bought this mic for video projects and it's nice and easy to use. I just use the voice recorder app on my iPhone and then airdrop it to my computer. Nice sound quality, affordable price.

This Rode smartLav+ sounded very crisp & clear. For this little device delivered quality sound I was surprise by it. I am totally willing to pay for this smartLav+ Lavalier Microphone even thought it's pricey! However, Guitar Center will do a price match so I was able to get it below the MSPR price.

Mechanism that clips mic to subject broke almost immediately. Very poorly made, especially considering the Rode reputation. Would not recommend this product

The Rode Lavalier Mic picks up your voice exceptionally even just using with my smart phone. It blocks out some background noise depending on the volume of the background noise. All in all was very satisfied. The only negative is the exceptionally short wire. I had to go and buy the extension cable so I am not restricted to such a short distance from the camera.
