I was looking for a small, unobtrusive, easy to use desktop mic for the following: Online meetings, podcasts and YouTube videos, recording guitar and vocals, and other situations that warrant better audio. Compared to other mics I've had, here's what makes this mic better IMO: Built in pop filter! (No need to attach a separate pop filter and constantly adjust it) Headphone jack for latency free monitoring! USB-C! Sounds great! Magnetic base and easy to transfer to a boom Price!!!

This is actually my second Rode NT-USB Mini USB Microphone purchase. I'd bought the first for work and it outperformed my analog focusrite setup at home so much that I bought another one for home when WFH. It is pretty much plug and play and has great pickup and I've added the Mackie PF-100 Pop Filter which wasn't designed for it, but works perfectly with it. Not a complaint to be found. would buy a third if I needed it.

I have been managing many Zoom sessions, in addition participating in many video calls with family and friends on other venues. The feedback from people on their end of these sessions is that my audio comes in much more clearly with this microphone compared to the one built into my webcam. Ordering on the B&H web site was easy but shipping was delayed a couple weeks due to limited availability and high demand, not unexpected as usage of video conferencing has skyrocketed during the pandemic.

Absolutely amazing quality and SUPER easy to use in the same room with another person. My kitchen echos like crazy to the human ear but you can't even hear it! My dog drinks water or farts while recording......? NOTHING! GET it if you are making a podcast with intentions of true professionalism, quality, and portability! B&H even gives gift cards which you can use to get a really good pair of studio headphones!

We purchased this for a remote correspondent for radio broadcast and podcasting. We just started using it and found the sound to be quite lovely, a good match for our broadcast mix. The stand and pop screen are practical additions that allow the novice user to get set-up quickly with professional results.

Took me 10 minutes to setup (including PSA boom stand too) and was up and running with no further calibration. I use it primarily for Teams meetings... it brings a crisp, professional sound to my Streams recordings and interactions on calls.

My only complaint is the USB cable is too short to route through the Broadcast arm.

This little mic is well built and functions simply as advertised, plug and play. The build quailty is excellent. The sound is warm and pleasant without distortion. It is small and you may need to set it up on something or use a boom to avoid having to crouch to use it. Note that the base is magnetic so my assumption is you'll want to keep it away from sensitive areas like hard drives.

This mic is amazing for only $99! The sound you get out of it really competes with higher end mics. There is no extra noise with the mic and it does a great job of isolating my voice. It also works with my iPad Pro so it's a fantastic travel mic for voiceovers! I'd totally recommend it!

I chose to buy the NT-USB USB Microphone by Rode from here because of the free shipping and free headphones which was a nice bonus. I received my package on the exact date of estimated delivery. Everything was packaged securely and I couldn't wait to open it up. I have absolutely no issues and couldn't be happier with my purchase. Thank you for your prompt delivery, bonus headphones and free shipping! Will be back back again to purchase other things I need. :)

Although the direction booklet was lacking (most are!), once I figured out how to work the mic, I was very pleased at the resonance offered by the mic. There is no comparison between the Tascam DR40 sound and this! The directions did not explain anything about software needed. I tried audacity (my go-to ) and it did not record on my computer using it. Garageband worked.

Very easy for plug and play for recording with my Ipad or to use as a mic for monitoring effects and previewing settings before recording. Nice feature that allows adjustment of volume from the playback of the previous track while recording a new track.

This mic was simple to setup. Great sound quality. I made a DIY mic boom to use with my setup: - Rode NT-USB Mini - Sony Alpha A6000 camera - Sony E 16-50mm PZ lens (power zoom) - Sony RM-VPR1 remote cable w/zoom switch - A/C powered dummy battery for my camera - Dell XPS i9 15 Laptop - Pengo HDMI to USB capture 1080p

The Mic is good quality and also good looking. The Rode Connect app is great for controlling the input/output sources, recording, reviewing and exporting audios. There is some static from the headphone port on the Mic so I normally use the headphone outputs from host devices and use the app to configure it. In general, I am looking to see more feature on Rode Connect app. E.g. + Auto start on startup and minimize it to taskbar. + A better way to manage recordings.

I use this microphone with my 2010 Mac Pro. Connection and setup was easy...literally just plug-and-play. On Skype calls, other people commented on the change in sound quality (for the better). It's also great for recording voiceovers. The only flaw is the included stand, as others have mentioned. It's very easy to knock the microphone over. It'd be ideal to get a sturdier stand if you can afford it.

The build of this microphone is awesome. All metal, very premium feel. The inclusion of the monitoring level dials (headphone level, and mic/USB blend) has been very helpful and I am glad I picked a microphone that has one. The sound is great for vocals (I am using it for podcasting) and does an ok job of removing background. Voice sounds full and true. Only thing I wish it had was a more modern USB interface (USB-C please) just to reduce the number of cables in my bag.

Purchased to record audio with my iPad Pro 12.9 Inch. It works, but you must use the Apple USB-C to USB-c Cable. It wont work through an USB C adapter like from Anker or Hootoo. 1. THE AUDIO IS WOW, full, rich, deep, almost as good as the SMB7 from shure 2. It acts as an audio interface when connected to the Mac 3. The volume dial is also a mute button! =) 4. It has no gain settings on the body, so you must alway control the gain in the DAW your working with

I use this mic to record podcasts and voice-overs. Straight outta the box this mic became my favorite piece of gear. This mic requires almost zero EQ in post, and the built-in monitor/mix is fantastic. If forced to find a con, it would be that perhaps it's too sensitive? You most definitely need a quiet space to record. Also, the desktop stand that comes with this mic is a waste. I recommend a traditional mic stand or arm with shock mount and after-market pop screen.

This is a good microphone. My husband uses it for online music lessons. He plays trumpet and the mic does a good job of handling the volume. The only thing that was problematic is that the mic would not work on either laptop we use. I called Rode and they said they had never received any other complaints about this. I know from personal experience that some computers have some difficulty with powering some USB devices. We bought a powered hub- also from B&H- and it works like a charm.

I bought this mic to use for a podcast series I'm working on. It's a great microphone for the price and sounds great. The only drawback is the use of the stand. The table top stand is fine but there isn't flexibility to use a tripod as a stand so you can be on your feet recording. The nut socket is not a standard size. I would recommend it though.
