I just can't say enough about the Neumann design. I have a baritone voice and no other mic has ever been so warm for me as the Nuemann ... especially the U87! But hey ... the TLM 102 is just fine!

For my book narrating, this microphone is nothing short of wonderful. A touch smaller than some of the more expensive ones, which works very well in my DIY recording booth. I shopped hard and decided on this with an Apogee One. Perfect combination. Very highly recommended....and it's a keeper.

I do mostly acoustic guitar recording. This mic captures beautifully and has a great form factor and shock mount. I have some good mics, but I haven't found a source that this mic doesn't improve or at least equal.

Fantastic little mic. Did a side by side with an AKG C414. Just as good. No switches for polar patterns.

Best mic I've ever owned, super quiet and sounds very natural, clear and detailed, nice bass and round highs.

Used for some vocals. A bit of a boost in the 6k area I find, but overall a strong vocal presence. Not bad on guitar amps, but with the boost, it skews the sound. Great middle-of-the-road price for either pro or home studios. Not a bad go-to microphone for most vocals, especially female vocals.

This mic is fantastic. Its definitely a solid build, and you can feel the qualitiy and craftsmanship not only when you hold it, but when you hear it. It sounds wonderful, and I think any home recordist would be happy to have a mic of its caliber for the cost.

I use my old 70U 87 for more than 30 years. I change some capsules during this period. I purchase the TLM 102 to make VO during my trips. No have differences with the U87. Nice and warm sound.

This is the best mic I've ever had. I used this next to a Neumann u47 and preferred the smoothness and eq of this mic for my voice. I now have a pair.

The Neumann mic is a magnificent piece of equipment. It delivers the highest quality sound at a fair price. A huge step up from my former mic, which will be nameless. I couldn't be happier.
