does not pick up background sounds, very good mic

This microphone is very nice, moreover, after I did the mod of capacity( Wima caps), become a lot better, warmer.

This mic performs very well, though it does prefer some preamp power. On my old and trusty MOTU 896, the preamp gain hits the sweet spot in the last 10% of available gain. That said, on my Sony headphones and M&K 2510 mastering monitors, there's no reason for complaint. A pop screen is a requisite, of course, with this style of mic.

This mic not only sounds nice and crisp, but it looks stunning. It looks a lot more expensive than it is. And because of its nice sound and looks, it's fun to use every day. Highly recommended if you're looking for an affordable mic for vocals.
