I use the speakers for my dorm room. Overall they have good sound. The bass is definitely powerful. However, the biggest drawback is that they don't have neither bass nor treble volume controls. This could be a problem depending on your room's configuration and/or your sound preferences. In my case, the bass was too loud, and I would also like some more treble to amplify those crisp high-frequency sounds, but there was no way I could adjust that from the speaker system itself. If you listen music from a media player, that shouldn't be a problem -- you can just adjust the player's equalizer. However, if you are listening to music from the internet (like my case), it's much harder to find equalizer options for your sound card. (I had to dig deep into my sound cards' preferences and all I could find was a bass adjustment). Overall, I think this is a decent speaker system for its sound, but if you are particularly picky with your sound preferences, then consider getting something else that definitely has a bass/treble control. ... I got this to replace an old Altec Lansing 2.1 speaker system that had the best bass in the world and really good overall sound. That model is no longer made unfortunately. These Logitech z313's are not quite as good but overall the sound they produce is clear and balanced and pleasant. You can't adjust the bass or subwoofer output on it from the unit itself but by default it produces clear and nice sounding bass. The satellites also sound very good. One thing to be aware of is you cannot adjust the sound from the little volume pod when you are using headphones. The volume pod only works for the speakers. You have to adjust the sound from the computer. Also, if you have the headphones plugged into the pod but have the 2.1 system off, sound will still come out of the headphones.I tried a few other 2.1 systems before this including some cyber acoustics and various 2.0 speaker sets and the z313 to my ears sounds better than all of them. ... I purchased these speakers to replace my old broken Bose Media Mate set, which I liked very much but couldn't afford to buy again. I love the look of these, and the sound is great for the price, but I do wish I could adjust the sub separately. I managed to adjust the EQ on my computer in order to get it less boom-y, but I'm still a bit concerned I may be annoying my neighbor. It's difficult to bring the bass down enough without sacrificing overall sound quality.

The sound quality is ok for what it is, but the input plug on mine is defective. It doesn't fit in the hole properly. I've tried it with 4 different devices, and it crackles and pops. Probably just a defective unit, but now I've got to spend the rest of my day off going to exchange it. I have Logitech Z5500 speakers and a G5 mouse that I've had for years without any problems, but this junk took Logitech down a notch in my book.

This system is hooked to an HP desktop in a small room of our house. The speakers sound real good, but the kicker is the separate bass placed under the desk. Wow! What a difference compared to our previous (no externally powered) minimal set-up. I can't believe how enjoyable this makes our computer for listening to Youtube etc. Only 4 stars because of the separate on-off switch and lack of bass adjustment. This package really is great for our purposes though. I have already recommended this product to two friends.

These speakers have enough power and enough bass to enhance my presentations of television commercials. Audio is important, and a giant flat screen with tiny speakers just won't do justice to custom music and sfx. This system is a bargain to accomplish that. I much prefer this sound over 5 or 7 speaker theater systems.

It is been like two weeks I bought these speakers and I am very pleased for their performance, they are great since their sound fidelity and power fulfill my home area and they were not as expensive as others. I have engoyed listening to mosuc or watching movies in my laptop and widely recomend them. May be, the only backdrop I could mention is the weight, if you are planning to take them with you, they are not that portable because of it and because of the space.

I have these set up on my computer corner style desk and they don't take up very much room. They aren't flashy with lights which I like and they provide excellent sound quality. One of my favorite parts is the volume remote with power button and headphone jack.

I use this setup on a second computer so don't need the punch my main machine has. Has more then enough volume and has great fidelity for such a small package. I would buy it again but not for my primary system. I think the bass is a bit boomy but totally usable if the volume is not way up. Handy wired remote for volume, on/off control and with headphone out.

I use the speakers for my home laptop and personal use while listening to music and other audio clips. The sound quality is pretty good given that the system is relatively cheap at $. The sound itself can be a little hollow at times, though.

Needed a new set of speakers that would fit on my desk. These were highly rated for a good price. They may lack the richness of sound that more expensive speakers have but for $30 you won't find a better deal anywhere.

I use these speakers on my desktop and i find the quality of the speakers for the price is very good. I agree with other reviews that the base is just a touch too heavy but otherwise i am very happy with this purchase.

I was so happy with the purchase. The sound quality from this system is great, compared to a Sony PC speakers that I bought two months at a similar price. It can be very loud with no or little distortion with beautiful Bass. Only weakness is no Bass control. I would highly recommend it.

The high sound is very clear and the low so deep. It's a great speaker for your computer or your portable mp3 player. I like the price because I've never met this kind of sound loudness with this price, even design too. It's a great speaker for personal user.

The sub sounds really good, but sometimes I wish the speakers were louder. So to solve the problem of not having enough sound I took a splitter and put it on the back of the sub, and plugged in a set of computer speakers that I already had, and bought another set of Logitech speakers. Now it really fills up the room with sound. I mostly use them for my iPod and listen to music all the time. I am really astounded with the quality for the low price!

I love this product because now (after several years of not being able to hear my tv) I can hear my tv over the rock sound of my son's band (and they practice several times per week). It makes my tv sound excellent.

I was searching for cheap 2.1 speakers that could do the job. Those ones defenilly do! The bass doesn't sound cheap, and the volume is enought for playing or listening music. For a small room is enough for sure.

I bought one 47 TV few weeks ago but there was something missing, I felt so. Then I bought Logitech speakers and now my world is complete. This product is amazing. Sound quality is good. It doesn't occupy much space. Overall, the product is satisfactory in all terms.

Speaker is pretty good for normal users, but it drive people nuts if you want to adjust the bass, since logitech did not provide this option at all. Some times there are some buzz if you don't use it.

What more could you expect for $? This unit is worth much more. It sounds incredibly good and is a great value for the price. If you are an audiophile and want perfection, this unit isn't for you, but if you want great sound and don't want to spend a bunch, you can't go wrong. Easy connections.
