I had a pair of these headphones over 20 years ago and they were years ahead of their time! Now with Bose, Dr Dre beats, and Skullcandy dominating the market, the Koss Porta Pro Jr are still holding their own over 20 years later. Just received my new pair of Porta Pro Jr's, and they are still just as good as 20 years ago!

Great sound and very comfortable. Love the retro look too. These headphones are very open, you can hear outside noise quite clearly. I like this as I can hear people without taking off my headphones. The only drawback is that you can't hang them around your neck as the spring metal construction of the band tends to strangle.

I'm pretty hard on stuff and I've destroyed two of these so far. I've tried almost everything else and there is no other headset that offers the quality of sound, the range both low and high, and the volume in a portable. I'll try to keep the receipt this time.

Great phones sound amazing and what a price! Studio setting. Started out as back up but I use them more because they are light and don't make my ears sweat.

The Koss Porta Pro has been around for years. With the contemporary look of today's offering, th Porta Pro has a real retro look. The sound quality is reasonable, and commensurate with the relatively inexpensive price. There are better sounding headphones, for higher prices, but for listening to music on a phone or iPod, these are adequate.

The ONLY problem with this headphone is that if you have long hair it can snag your hair. I keep my hair low so that's not an issue. This headphone rocks!

Bought these headphones based on a proven track record and consistently good reviews. As an over ear type they are superior in sound fidelity to most in ear or ear bud types. They handle high volume clearly with negligible distortion.Boughtthese for $, best everyday headphones you canbuy in this price range.

Everything that you read elsewhere about these headphones is true! If you're looking for excellent sounding cheap headphones, these are for you. If you can get them on sale, they are worth the price. However, there are better choices for only a bit more money. Also, these are much uglier than I expected.

I accidentally broke my last pair after 13 years. My audiophile friend recommended these way back in 1998 (PortaPro's haven't changed much since 1984). They continue to have amazing sound quality for the money. The frequency range is huge, build quality is also good and fits just about any size head. Beware of knockoffs a few bucks cheaper. Get them!

I had a pair in the 80's and bought a pair for my daughter for Christmas. At first she was reluctant to use them with the old school looks (they aren't earbuds afterall). She now agrees that they are the best for sound quality and comfort. The PortaPros are all she will use now, the earbuds have been in a drawer since. The best, still...

I love these headphones. So far I've had great results using the porta pros for both my motorola droid 2 and my ipod touch. The good things about them are the sound quality and how comfortable they are. The only thing I would change would be the dual wire connection instead of having just one to one side. Great quality for the money you spend especially considering the lifetime guarantee.

The bass is great. Difficult to find such deep bass with small headphones. In fact the bass is so powerful that I find it sometimes a bit too much. I had to select a specific equalizer on my iPod to correct it. But now they sound perfect. Better too much bass than not enough. Otherwise, the hold is firm; I can do my jogging with it. Comes with a protective pouch.

I use the headphones for to listen to my iPod on the Subway. I like how its metallic head band is very flexible, I can toss it in my backpack, and I'm off. The head band also countours to my head snugly. It looks a bit cheapy, and I would've love to see a fully encapsulated headphone (noise-canceling), but I'll definitely recommend this to others

I think everyone knows how great the low pitch is. And about the high, At first it was not very clear. But after a few hours of listening, the high, as well as the low, is just great, and it is very cheap! Highly recommended!

I manage to break most of the headphones I use, these seem more durable with spring steel full head clips and no little hinged parts. sound is ok for my aging ears. they fold up nicely and are pockatable if necessary

These head phones produce clear precise sound and can be use with your computer plus a host of other equipment. comming with a adaptor for 1/4 inch included. They don't muffle out all exterior sound but that's good because you want to know a little about your suroundings while shooting and editing.

You could keep reading reviews, or you could just buy yourself a pair already. Nothing out there will beat these headphones sound quality for the price. Best purchase I have made in a long time. Don't forget they come with a lifetime warranty from Koss. ..

The fame of this product is not for nothing. My expectations were fully answered. Deep bass and clear highs, comfortable, lightweight and practical. There are products that will meet the same or even better, but cost at least four times. In your price range is unbeatable.

These headphones sound good for the price. They are comfortable to wear and lightweight. It provides a good bass but I wish it had a little more treble since sometimes the highs sound muddled. Overall, I would recommend them to anyone who is interested in a pair of reasonably priced headphones.
