Great value for a basic XLR mic setup. I have this, a Synco Mic-D2, and Sennheiser HD 280 Pro headphones. They all work nicely together. My only complaint is there is a slight hiss in the direct monitoring that gets louder the higher the gain is set too, but, this hiss does NOT show up in my recordings.

I primarily use the Solo 2x2 for audio input on Zoom calls. The unit is compact and everything on the outside is well built. It gets its power and transmits the signal through a single USB cable. I also appreciate that it is small and lightweight. My only disappointment is that I have to turn the gain up to 95% for my Movo LV8 condenser clip-on microphone. Fortunately, Zoom automatically adjusts the volume.

I had high expectations, and this little unit exceeds them. At the input ends, this manages my desktop microphone and my computer audio. At the output end, it runs through my dock. Everything is plug-and-play and has dramatically simplified my desktop audio rig all while hiding behind a picture frame on my desk. If you're going for that wire-free, minimalist look or just looking for something to run a dedicated mic cleanly, this is the tool for the job.

Bought this for my daughter along with a Shure SM57 to record her saxophone playing. Very pleased with the overall sound of the combo. Haven't used any of the available software yet, just connected it to her Macbook Pro and used Garage Band. No problems. Pushed it pretty hard during initial recordings, could not get it to overload though, which was nice. Even with a lot of gain, could not hear any added noise or hiss on the recordings. Happy with my purchase.

Unit itself is built solid and I wouldn't have any issues traveling with it. Microphone quality appears to have significantly improved compared to my old Behringer interface that turned itself into a noise generator. Windows drivers appear to have some problems as if I am using it in a voice application (primarily Teamspeak) it will occasionally start making the audio distorted. Restarting the application or the interface appears to fix it and I have contacted support about the issue.

This Focusrite Scarlett Solo 2x2 USB Audio Interface (3rd Generation) has more than proved its worth over the first two weeks. I'm now able to play, record and share music with my band and social media. The unit itself is solid and very easy to use. The free downloadable software and programs took some time to learn and are well worth the time spent. Wish I had bought this years ago.

Im a student and trumpet player. The device is small enough to fit easily on my desk. Theres a mic and aux input so i can put both my microphone and phone into my speakers at the same time. The knobs are easy to use and controls simple to understand for a beginner music recorder. Ohm count is great, i have a high ohm set of IEMs that dont work with many devices, but i have plenty of volume to spare with this amp. Absolutely recommend

I initially purchased a Neewer 48v phantom power unit to drive my new Neat King Bee mic. While it did allow me to use the mic, I could not directly monitor sounds through my headphones with that unit. This Focusrite solved the problem, with the added benefits of gain adjustment and the Air button which boosts midrange and treble a bit. Simple to hook up and use, also. I should have purchased it in the first place.

This was a very easy interface to install on my computer and start using right away with my Heil PR40. Squeezing more out of this little box is something else with all the SW (really free, *free* trial or download, and demo). Once my new MXL mic arrived, also simple to interface and immediately start using.

Using with an SM7B. A lot of people run the Scarlett 2i2, but IMO that is a waste of extra money as this preamp is just as good. If streaming, you will need to download the Focusrite software to switch the mic to mono as it initially only lands on the LEFT stereo channel.

This kit is really great for the price. I'm tempted to buy a second. Sound is really good, especially with the sound barrier that comes with it. Set up was a bit fickle but ended up working. I had to install the drivers twice. So far I've used it several time and have been extremely pleased with the quality!

First thing I noticed was the quality build of the product, very solid. The price for the quality of work you can perform on this interface is excellent. Sounds are clear, Set up is not hard and to top it off you get so much bonus material with the interface you will have no second thoughts about your purchase. Excellent product.

This is my first audio interface, and what a place to start. It's super simple to use, has the convenience of a direct monitoring aux for headphones, I LOVE the Air feature (which I believe gives your recording a bit of spin based on traditional Focustite filters). It's so small that it fits in my hand and takes up almost no space on my desk. And it looks sooo good. I'm a huge fan of this device and would highly recommend it for anyone who just needs one XLR going into their computer.

The sound quality of the Scarlett 3rd Gen is excellent. I had to use the computer's soundcard recently, which is a new ALC1200 on an ASRock B550M Pro4, with a 1/8 to RCA cable. The volume output was very high so the monitors could be turned way down to eliminate noise and still be very loud. After connecting through the Scarlett, the difference in clarity, detail, and richness of the sound was still very significant.

The upgrades from Gen 2 to Gen 3 are good. Not a top-line interface, but a great one for the price. Drives installed and work great. Sound great. Just missing a few bells and whistles. Not needed for what I do.

I really enjoy this little device. Have only used it with t Garage Band. Have a new MacBook Pro on order and will probably download Pro Tool on it. Would recommend a larger one as my Korg keyboard is stereo. A lot of the different sounds from the keyboard are in stereo. Overall very pleased with this device. I should have bought more inputs and outputs. If you are doing guitar and vocals only, this is awesome!

I needed an interface to be able to process microphone and bass guitar across the internet. This works beautifully.

I use it as an interface for my music production/writing. This unit is great for me because I don't need many inputs i.e. I am not recording a band. But the two inputs are great to have. If you are looking to record several sources at the same time look into one of the Focusrite's 2X2 or above.

I use my Scarlett Solo 3rd generation to make music with two friends over Jam Kazam. I only need a mic because I'm not plugging in an instrument. With one friend I sing and he sings and plays guitar (plugged into his Scarlett Solo); with the other we play recorder duets. The Scarlett Solo was easy to set up and works perfectly every time. One of my best Covid purchases!
