Excellent! Just like George Best in 1970 against Northampton, Focusrite score a double hat trick with this interface: Great sound/Plug and play/seamless integration/killer price/bundled software and the most lush scarlet finish! I installed Montery on my Mac to use this and it's flawless, Focusrite control is intuitive and has all the presets to start immediately, short of coming to your studio/living room, there's not much more they could do to better this, thank you!

I Purchased the scarlet 4i4 because I needed an interface with a few inputs and it also has a five pin midi port for hooking up my older Casio keyboard. It seems to be fairly sturdy and it works as described. The software that it came with is good as a beginner software. my headphones sound decent through the scarlet but I guess that depends on the quality of your headphones. All in all, I believe the product is of good quality and will do what I need it to do, at least for now.

It was our first audio interface. We set it up for better audio quality on zoom, facebook live, etc. We got the front input working great, but there is complete lack of info/documentation on how to get the back input working. Maybe we just need to fidget with it more. Overall huge improvement on audio quality for voice and guitar thru the front. Just need to figure out how to get the key board output from the back inputs over streaming.

This is my first Focusrite Scarlet and I haven't used any of the other generations (this is the 3rd Gen 4i4). I can find no fault with the unit. The dials are solid and the plug sockets aren't loose.

I have no experience with professional audio and was mildly concerned that setting up the Scarlett 4i4 would be complicated or that I'd have to spend some time figuring out how to operate this interface. Instead, this turned out to be the simplest thing that I needed to do in setting up my streaming environment. I plugged the 4i4 in to my computer with the supplied USB cable, connected my mic, and the sound was going to my streaming app with no issues.

Outputs 3/4 share the fader and routing with the headphone out in the Focusrite Control software which you forced to use. This means you can either only hear mono in one side of your headphones, or sacrifice the Output 1/2 volume control by using those outputs to reamp. On top of that major issue, i find the software very frustrating.

Decent but headphone port just died on me after 3 weeks. Unacceptable

Bought this to work with my new Rode Procaster. Installed ok, but max volume was a whisper. Called B&H got good support, but unable to correct the problem. Forget getting support from Focusrite. Nice looking piece of equipment, nice if it actually worked. Messed with it for 3 hours. Had to return it. B&H support was very good.

I considered the 8i6 but it was backordered so I got this one. My biggest complaint is that it has no on/off switch and must be unplugged (from the USB connector) to turn it off. The preamps sound great with SM58 in vocals and instrument in (no direct box) from my Taylor CE (gen 1 pup). The routing (driver) software is somewhat non-intuitive but does what you'd expect.

Worked just fine with good sound quality but broke down with an estimated 30 hours use. Not sure if I would buy another product from this company. Need to talk to others. Maybe I got a dud. They also seem to be priced a bit too high compared to other interfaces. Not sure if they are that superior.

This 4i4 is the perfect audio interface for my new iMac. I decided to upgrade to a nice mic for my business zoom meetings and this does the trick. I went for the 4i4 instead of the two channel because I'm also a musician and this has worked very well when my wife and I have recorded a couple of songs. You cannot go wrong with Focusrite.

The Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 4x4 is a great interface! Very easy to use with no set up, just plug it in and go. There is some set up with lower models however with the 4i4 4x4 upgrade the set up is already done. Its super clean sound and very well built and B&H always kills on pricing and shipping! Very happy with this purchase!

I was hesitant to purchase this. The price was great but it was a B-stock item. It arrived in a generic box and I expected it to be scuffed and scratched. It was however in perfect condition. I had a problem with the cord and the seller is replacing it - no problem. It's a great piece of hardware. Works great. Sounds great. Great company. Great support.

Purchased for zoom meetings. I use this daily, several hours per day and the device finally died on me. Does not register as a USB device. I have tried it on three different computers, with different USB cables. I would have expected more longevity out of this item than 8 months. I would not recommend purchasing. I have contacted support, but they are slow and they have not been very helpful.

After having some installation troubles, I searched a few forums and followed their advice, everything turned out perfectly in the end. The included support software is perfect for my amateur home recording projects. Great device for the money.

Compact, works very well for my MacBook Air and in combination with my AT4047 mic. The browser-based setup is very clear, depending on your DAW audio recording interface, but I was able to set it up with both GarageBand and ProTools without a hitch.

Simple to learn for first-time interface users, comes with good free software (Ableton Live Lite), looks pretty cool. Lots of input options, and pretty well supported if you have any questions and need to look anything up.

I bought this 4i4 to replace a 2i2. Just wanted a couple more outputs. It works as advertised. Does what I want and need it to do. great product and they, Focusrite, stand behind their products.

Focusrite may have found a way to frustrate consumers by making their products in such a manner that they break down or do not get detected by their software right after the warranty period. My Focusrite 4i4 works well until I connect it to a computer and it will not be detected.
