Interfaces I own or have owned: Apogee Symphony MKII, the Apogee Duet II, Focusrite Scarlet 18i20, an original MBOX, this Uphoria. Honestly, this Uphoria is great. The thing is dang cheap and sounds good. I'm blown away how awesome it is for the price.

I've had this for a few years now, and it's been crackling and popping (not easily reproducible) since day 1 on Windows. I've been troubleshooting it on forums and waiting for a firmware update since a while ago with no luck. Support couldn't do much either. If you purchase for OSX, I don't think you'll have an issue. When I hook this bad boy up to my MacBook, all issues go away. Here's a link to one of the most detailed troubleshooting forum posts that has been a pretty darn good descriptor of the issue. https://lookmumnocomputer.discourse.group/t/behringer-umc-404-hd-troubles/933/10

This worked perfectly for me for a long time, almost a year. One day I updated windows 10 and I could never get it to function correctly again. I have reinstalled windows 10 numerous times and tried every combination of audio drivers (manufacturers only, motherboards only, manu + motherboard drivers, asio4all). Its a shame because the connectivity on this audio interface makes it a top candidate in this price range. While this may work perfectly for some folks, my experience with it leaves me no choice but to categorize it as the usual flaming garbage Behringer is known for manufacturing. Please fix the windows 10 driver someday Behringer. ... More

UMC404HD Awesome, easy to use, sounds as good as what you plug into it. Mic-Preamps are clean and clear. Noise minimal...certainly less than what most of popular music in our life time was recorded through. A good mic will still be a good mic. With all the equipment available today at very reasonable prices, the only thing stopping anyone from making a hit (sounding) record is talent. Recording gear is not a barrier...in my opinion of course:)

This is an excellent piece of equipment. I can now see why they are sold out everywhere. It was hard to actually find one because so many places are out of stock. Honestly, for the price its the best i've seen anywhere for something like this. The only reason to get anything better than this would be if you need more inputs, i would say. But four inputs for this price is great, and the sound quality is perfect and pretty much no lag at all. So glad i bought this and would recommend it to anyone who wants to record anything from simple demos to full on albums. ... More

The build quality is great and it looks nice next to my komplete kontrol keyboard. I still have to figure a few things out. Like the A/B monitor switching isn't working. It only uses A no matter what I do with the button. And it is haveing occasional issues with Logic Pro X but that might be because my computer is old and slow. I do really like the pad feature. That should come in handy for recording drums so the kick mic doesn't peak the channel. Overall it's a simple and clean audio interface.

Solid Audio Interface that fits in nicely with my studio set up. I have a home studio, and have plugged my bass guitar, Arturia Mini-Brute, and a Mic into the interface with no issues. Running Ableton as my DAW. This isn't designed for rack mounting, but is slim enough to easily fit onto a shelf with other units. Solid construction and built to last.

A coworker told me he found this for $ dollars and I didn't believe him! @ was selling it for much more than that and is still selling the 2 channel version for $! Such a good deal. The stereo XLR outs are what sold me on it. It's very well design, looks great, works great. Hybrid XLR/TRS inputs are phenomenal. Plug and play usb. Love it!

Great product. You can either use USB or with the included adapter to power it. However, if you do just use USB, it will only supply power to inputs one and two. Best for a home studio on a budget.

This is a great interface for the money. The Midas preamps are clean with enough headroom for you audio inputs. The fact that you can record at up to 192Kbps is good, if you need that kind of detail.

I have the UMC404 and thought I would buy the UMC404 HD to upgrade the recording bitrate to 192. The first thing you will notice is there is no software or driver disk, that is where the fun begins. The newest driver on the site is 4.38 it installs but when I go into Amplitube 3,4 or TH2,3 or any Daw is doesn't show any ASIO. And the support on the site is WORTHLESS. If I use the 3.29 driver that I used for the UMC404 I got the sound to work so I thought that was good enough, so I purchased the FCB1010 midi foot controller only to find that it would not work proper with that driver. I will never buy anything of Behringer again. ... More

I had a Behringer 202 for years and never had a single problem with it (that wasn't user error). It lived in suitcases and backpacks and vehicles on tour without padded cases and survived no problem. I've used it in the studio and on stage. Only moved up to the 404 so that I had more inputs and outputs, and so far the build quality and everything is the same high level. Sometimes cheaper gear is just as good, and so far it seems like Behringer interfaces are just as good.

Do yourself a favor and save yourself $100 by buying this instead of the Scarlett 4i4. This interface does everything, MIDI in/out, 4 combo jack inputs on the FRONT, extremely easy controls, great build quality, good preamps, phantom power, powered by USB, multiple outputs, 4 inserts, the list goes on and on. For the price this is an extremely versatile piece of equipment capable of doing many things, and if you're looking to jumpstart your studio I can't recommend it enough.

I really wanted to like this product and had an upcoming event ideally suited for it. Unfortunately, only Channel 1 worked and I had to return it. The channel that worked sounded fine. I was concerned about Behringer's poor reputation on quality control and had hoped this product's solid construction would be different, but sorry to say it was not.

The only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is that it took 2 days of fiddling, swapping cables, switching computers, & reinstalling/updating drivers to get the thing to work. From a lack of similar complaints online, I assume these issues are uncommon. In addition, this device now works great, with excellent sound and a simple, flexible control layout. Price is right, too.

For a couple of years, I have had a USB audio interface, but with no MIDI. This was one of the best purchases I could have made, as it has re-opened some possibilities for MIDI controllers and some vintage synths that I have. The audio pre-amps were also an upgrade from what I had & I also now have 4 audio inputs instead of 2. Recommended!

Needed clear sound to send signals to front of house (XLR's out) along with sending sound to amps behind me when playing out. Also running one laptop that is pretty old OS and this box works perfectly (Something more expensive Focusrite Scarlett would not and has less outputs). The 4 input recording works well too, adding 4 more inputs to our 8 inputs already for extra mics on the drums recording.
