After reading many reviews I went with this option to assist with my audio mixing and producing. I have absolutely no regrets. Neutral yet rich sound quality that makes it easy to do my job. Would definitely recommend. Can't go wrong with this and fabulous price point.

I purchased these headphones to monitor audio tracks for videos. They pack easily, have detachable cables (two are supplied), and are very comfortable.

I have no complaints with the comfort or audio quality so far. I would say if I had a complaint is that it feels a little bit cheap (materials) but haven't encountered any issues with the build quality as of yet, I just wonder how they will hold up in the long term.

The sound quality is great but the headphones are too big for my head and as a result put pressure on my neck and the back of my head in an uncomfortable and almost painful way. I am really bummed cause I'd love to keep them but it isn't worth putting up with. Shipping was super fast.

I purchased the headphones for listening to audio mixes and podcasts while on the go. The headphones sound is great and the over the ear feature makes them comfortable to wear for hours.

The quality of sound you get from this pair of headphones is amazing. Unfortunately the "around the ear" feature is not completely true, because the foam pads are a little bit too large and did not fit around the ears. The headphone build is overall fairly well done, but the actual phones are a little loose and seem like they would breakdown quickly over time.

Great sound especially for the price. However needs time to break in. First 30 min I wore started to hurt then become better. Also it does not go over ears fully. You have to have some on your ear too which again hurts after long use. Unless you have very small ears that is.

I really am happy with these headphones. They sound so good and feel great on my head. They are not heavy and so far even in this warm weather, they don't get hot or moist around my ear. They are great.

Great sound but not tough enough for me. still work so far. But I am disappointed in build quality. I stepped on cable and stood up a couple times. ZIP TIES and soldering iron needed for repair. Way overpriced !!!

These sound great, and the hidden cords to each of the speakers is a way better design than the comparable Sony headphones. The replaceable cord is definitely a plus too. They come a bit tight, but I just stretched them out a bit to not clamp onto my head so hard.

You will have to spend 2-3 times more to get better sound. So much clearer sound than the Sennheisers I used before. Immediately noticed parts in the music I never heard before plus the bass was very clear without getting woofy. Beautifully balanced and very comfortable as well.

Haven't tried M50x and above but I can say it is best bang for the buck headphone. used it in monitoring and gaming. no issue so far. well-built and feels comfy for me. Highly recommended. according to my research, most of ATH user prefers m40x rather than m50x but I know its subjective.

Great headphones. Perfect full range for what I’m utilizing it for. Comfy fit too for long practice sessions. I’ll be taking them to the studio next time I’m tracking.

I bought these to be what I thought would be a significant upgrade and improvement in sound quality to the less expensive ATH-M20x model. Not so. There are a few more bells and whistles with the M40x such as detachable cord, foldable ear speakers, carry bag, but not worth twice the pricetag. Now, I'm stuck with two headphones that do not provide quite the sound production I need.

The best headphones you can purchase in its price range. A better headphone for sound monitoring than the M50X.

I was looking for some headphones on a budget and these really offer some good quality for the price. Using them to monitor the mic on a video camera. Does great at blocking the outside noise.
