I have only had these a few weeks and am really enjoying them. I use them with my vintage stereo system, listening to streaming classical fm on my tablet, and monitoring music composition software. In all cases the sound is clean and crisp. Superb in every way.
I give it five stars.

This is a great product. It's very comfortable, not too heavy, and the padding is very soft. The sound quality, especially at this price range, is great and perfectly suited to my needs. It also comes with a nice selection of things such as cables and adapters. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it.

For 100$ I couldn't ask for more! I've been using these for almost 4 months now (late review). The first week or two were kinda disappointing cause my ear and areas around it started to hurt after listening to music for an hour or so. However, now I have 4 hour sessions of music listening and it is as if I don't have headphones on my head. Sound quality is good. Good mids and highs, lows aren't as good as mids and highs, but good enough for hip-hop and rap (I am satisfied).

The Headphone is very good to work, very comfortable and with a really good quality of sound. You can easily spend hours using it. However is a studio headphone, it's not the best model to walk with or to carry with you in a travel for exemple.

A solid Very well built pair of cans with punchy bass great mids and decent treble. The earpads included are a bit uncomfortable and close on the ears would suggest replacing with some thick pads to get some distance from the driver. Otherwise Fantastic 9/10 Would Recommend
Not a significant upgrade to the ATH-M20x

I bought these to be what I thought would be a significant upgrade and improvement in sound quality to the less expensive ATH-M20x model. Not so. There are a few more bells and whistles with the M40x such as detachable cord, foldable ear speakers, carry bag, but not worth twice the pricetag. Now, I'm stuck with two headphones that do not provide quite the sound production I need.

I love these headphones. The sound is great. I just wish they fit better. I was hoping they would cover my ears completely, but they don't. My ears are about 2.75 inches and the headphones are about 2.25 inches. They get uncomfortable after a while.

The sound quality is great but the headphones are too big for my head and as a result put pressure on my neck and the back of my head in an uncomfortable and almost painful way. I am really bummed cause I'd love to keep them but it isn't worth putting up with. Shipping was super fast.
