Overall I think it's a good microphone. I noticed however, whenever I sang lower notes (below E4 - E above middle C), it sounds boomy, and it gets even worse when I play the CD in my car (even when the High Pass Filter switch is on). Using soundforge I equalized my vocal track and now it sounds very nice.

My first studio recording type mic. This mic was much better than my Shure 58 and AKG D7 mics for recording and I been using it for a 2-3 years now without any problems. I did replace it with a RODE NT1, but I should have also kept the AT2035 for another mic option. You review the result of one of the songs I covered with this mic on my You Tube channel, I would recommend the Emerson Lake & Palmer cover of "Lucky Man" by user: ut1004bp. This mic was interfaced to a Focusrite preamp, which I purchase at the same time as the mic. ... More

This microphone has a solid metal build that feels like it can take a beating, it's low noise, the omni- derectional response is great, I barely hear background noise(keep gain low) in very unideal rooms. I would recommend this mic to anyone, even if you are considering one of the more expensive mics, like the Nta Rhode, I would also recommend checking this out as well.

For the price I cannot believe the performance. Smooth response and - very important - low self-noise. The AT2035 compares favorably to other more expensive mics in our fleet (Heil PR40, Sennheiser 421) and outperforms others in its price range. This mic is great for vocals, acoustic guitar and piano.

I think the big difference is having a audio convertor connected to the product. I am just starting and i did find a lot of difference in having a usb connecting moano cartoid microphone and this. 2035 does provide a more complete recording experience according to me. XLR connection could be a reason as well, regardless I am happy with the purchase.

I am happy with the AT2035 purchase. I am using it in two ways. First, as a mic for online zoom sessions. I work remotely and have many hours of zoom meetings a day. The mic work well 5 or 6 inches below my mouth (angled on its side) and stays out of view of my camera. My second use is for recording my upright bass (for jazz music). I am really happy with the sound here. I had been using an SM57 (with a boost), or my zoom H6 mics. The AT2035 gives a sound I am actually happy to listen to, or a change. Its a good value. ... More

I've been recording vocals for multiple artists using multiple condenser microphones along with a Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 audio interface and an Auray RF-CMS-S Reflection Filter. Undoubtedly this AT2035 has given us the best quality we could imagine. Along with basic knowledge of recording and mixing, this is the perfect tool for a home studio!

Everything included seems of good design, it looks as though it will last a long while. The cable is just the right length for my home studio and doesn't give me any problems. As for the microphone itself, when wearing headphones I am amazed by the ability it has to pick up noise but (so sensitivity) but all of the unwanted noise is mostly a non-issue thanks to the cardioid pick-up pattern. This is my first microphone purchase.

I use this microphone mostly for voice recording, and it produces very detailed results. The specifications for this mic show it to have a mostly flat frequency response with low noise, and this is borne out in use -- this mic is very sensitive, has little inherent noise, and produces an uncolored sound. The mic and its included shock mount are sturdily built and well-packaged. It's a quality product that produces a great sound.

The AT2035 is hands down the best large diaphragm condenser microphone in its class. It is extremely accurate and great at picking up the room. Its a durable workhorse that will compliment any studio set-up. I would strongly recommend it for vocal and acoustic instrument applications. Its one flaw may lie in its slightly under sensitivity however this is minor compared to its qualities

I use the mic to record vocals and acoustic guitar in my home studio. I find it clear and responsive across all frequencies, with little feedback. It feels solid and comes with a handy carry pouch for traveling. Overall, great value mic.

I use this mic right next to my computer, which is exceptionally noisy, and with the back of the mic towards the computer, it cuts it pretty well. It still, even in my noisy environment, manages to pick up pretty clean audio. It really is a great mic. The sound is wonderful and if it were in a decent recording environment, I'm certain it would be very clean as well. I love it.

I use this mic for learning the craft of recording Voice Overs. This mic works great, and sounds amazing. I bought it as a kit and the mic was definitely the best piece of gear in the kit. All the other items work well too but are not of this quality.

To begin, I'd like to commend B&H for competitive pricing and very quick shipping. The AT2035 far exceeded my expectations. It can handle high volume recordings with great clarity. For example, I've been using only this mic to record scratch tracks for drums and with a little bit of EQ, it's passable for a low budget EP release. The mic is very sturdy, the low pass and decibel pad switches are solid. The included shock mount is a great addition.

Yes I was pleasantly surprised with this device. The price was right but the quality is awesome. I would say this mic sounds much like the more expensive re-20. Has a fairly flat response with good low mid range definition. Perfect for announcing and voice over work.

We use this AT mic exclusively in the studio for naration and voice over for our on-line learning and avitar narration. It captures clear vocals that add to our learning sessions. The reality about adding audio to learning sessions is that it is best when you don't recognize it's there. Bad audio will kill your project. The AT 2035 delivers audio that impacts, not detracts from learning experiences.

Quality all around is top notch. Crisp and clear sound. Doesn't pick up background noise. My viewers and listeners always comment on how clean sounding my audio is. However, a large consideration for those recording podcasts with video/streamers is the fact that it is a side address. This can make shot composition quite awkward as you have a large object blocking your face. I have had viewers and listeners bring this up to me and is something to put thought in to.

This mic is wonderful! The quality of this product is top knotch. This mic also comes with a shock absorber and carrying case. Simply open the box, grab an XLR cable and slide it in. Notice the fine locking mechanism to prevent your cord from slipping out. The asthetics are pleasing, the sound is great, and the price is right...what more could you ask for?
