I tried this to replace a dell stock cooler on an i5 3570 which was giving me 70C when gaming. And I don't get any change in temps. I still get max of 70c. This is probably better than an intel stock cooler, but not as good as a hyper T2.

have this air cooler on a i7 6700 keeps it at 34c at idle and 48c at load. Sweet little cooler.
