Hinge Design Problem
This has been my go-to keyboard since I bought it because I use a lighted kbd in bed at night. Recently, the hinge began getting stiffer and stiffer until last week it finally got so stiff it broke off the two tabs that held the iPad portion of the case. There doesn't appear to be any way of repairing it and now no way of adjusting or closing the case. Zagg told me their warranty is only 1 year so the device is now useless. Sad. A good idea, poorly implemented.

Garbage
I've had other Zagg products, this one is an absolute piece of garbage. The hinge started falling apart 1-month in and the keyboard is split in two at this point. Small bits of plastic routinely fall off. The case has minimal use and was always stored in a padded bag.

Quality issue with case
Ive had this case for 5 months. Over time the case has become increasingly difficult to open. The keyboard side of the case has opened up at the hinge. I can not snap the case back together. Will be requesting a replacement from Zagg.

Hinge fails over time
Great item except for the hinge part which has failed over time. When closing the iPad, the hinge now flexes to the point where the iPad now pops out of it almost every time.

Great keyboard
Another entry in a series of high quality keyboards/ cases. Good for typing , reading , browsing , and videos . Case is sturdy and keeps iPad safe but not too heavy.

Great add-on case to a great tablet
My wife loves her iPad Pro. She also finds it easier to type with a keyboard at a thousand words per minute so I found this case on line and it has filled all her wishes. It is light, solid, has great keys and detaches with the proper amount of effort. Great purchase. Makes me look good.

Seized hinge, case failed, number 2 key doesn't work
I purchased this product at the same time as I purchased my iPad Pro from B&H 12 months ago. At the 6 month mark, the hinge started to seize. Now it scarcely moves. The iPad case will not stay in its slot. The iPad case edge is now completely broken as a result of the seizure. Please see the photos attached. About that time, the number 2 stopped working. Very functional but....
I think I would have chosen a different model if I knew how heavy this one is, but it is very functional - the backlit keyboard is cool, keys have a good feel - and the clamshell style makes it easy to use on your lap. I do wish it had a trackpad but I guess that's not a given on a portable keyboard - If weight is not a concern I would go for it.

I would give it a 4.5 Great case, but one thing missing.
First off, this is a well made, great case. It's a little heavy, but it's really well made, so kind of expected. It's easy to take your iPad on and off if you don't need the keyboard, so that solves that issue easily. Doesn't matter if it's a little heavy if you are using it on a table. Great keyboard
You can't go wrong with Zagg. The keyboard is the best -- sturdy, responsive, feels like you're using a good laptop. Also love the pen holder on the top of the case. Angle is adjustable, opens like a clam shell. Can separate the keyboard from the tablet if desired.

Was not seduced by the Smart Connect feature by others. Love the Zagg Slim Book Keyboard. Have it a couple of weeks and it has been flawless.

Great keyboard and case, though a little heavy
I really like this case. It's solid and elegant - looks good and feels good in the hand and on the lap, in all of the various configurations. I like that the screen can be angled any way you like, not just in one position like other keyboard cases that form a triangle on the base. Zagg Shines Again
Typically, the Zagg Slim Book shines again and typically they were slow to enter the market with this product. It's much easier to use than its competition with the Apple connection. The only thing I don't like is the placement of the Bluetooth 1&2 keys in the top Left corner when my finger memory is expecting the Esc key #3 to be in the corner.

A Great Solution
I have bought just about every every keyboard built for the new smart connect interface and found them all lacking. If you are working on a desk, all is good, but in your lap they are almost impossible to manage. That drove me back to the bluetooth solution. After using the ZAGG slim book on my iPad Pro 10.5 I am wondering how Ive lived without it. It seems to be a natural fit and it logically adds an excellent keyboard to my work flow when I need it. Very nice case.
This case has bee perfect for my dad; especially the back-lit keyboard. Very rugged and durable and the keyboard seems to have unusually long up-time. It's going to be interesting to see how long it functions before requiring a charge. All-in-all, a very sweet keyboard clamshell case for the iPad Pros. The only other improvement would be a woven kevlar type material covering the keys that is similar to Apple's smart keyboard. That and maybe offer a non-bluetooth alternative that is powered via the iPad smart connector. Overall? BIG THUMBS UP!

Best Keyboard case I've ever used
Now let me begin with letting you know I've gone through other top brand keyboard cases and while I have had some limited luck with a few of the top brands, ZAGG really hit it out of the ballpark with this case. I already had Logitech's Create Keyboard Case for the iPad Pro and wanted to check out the ZAGG alternative. I returned it almost immediately. PROS: Build quality is top-notch. Bomb proof!
This Zagg keyboard is very sturdy. Unlike the product's own keyboard it is much more solid and does not shut off the LED back lighted keyboard after 10 seconds on non use. Perfect for travel as you can set the tablet to any position you want.

Wow...just WOW!!! They finally got it right :)
By George, I think they got it!! The back cover for the tablet is at least twice as thick as what it was on previous generations of this case. The cutouts are all properly aligned and the tablet fits securely inside the cover. No worries about it falling out. The tablet inserts easily and there is a satisfying click as it snaps in place.
