Great ATH-M50 replacement pads
A lot more comfortable than the stock M50 earpads but not as thick as the Brainwavz HM5 pads which drastically alter the sound signature of the M50s They wont fig snug though, so you'll have to "shrink-wrap" the pads with a heated bread knife onto the M50 or use a slim rubber band

Very Nice!
bought these for my Audio Technica M50 headphones and they fit good. they are a little bigger than the originals but are so much more comfortable after long use. they are softer and the sound didnt really change much. it actually makes the sound more natural and the stereo field sounds a bit wider now. bought these off a recommendation and glad i did.

Works for Audio Technica ATH M30X
I bought a new pair of Audio Technica ATH M30X and although the sound was great, the ear pads were a bit small for my ears. After 30 minutes or so my ears would be sore from being tucked inside the OEM earpads. I read online that the Shure earpad would fit and are larger. Worked great! Ears fit inside like they should, no ear pain, great sound. Give them a try if you have a pair of M30X and have given up on the headset because of discomfort.

Good replacement ear pads
I bought several pairs of these Shure HPAEC840 ear pads which are not just for the larger Shure SR840 headphones; they also are just about the right size to fit Sennheiser's 280's. Also using some thin strips of double sided tape, they can be attached onto the Fostex T20RP mkII's, T40RP mkII's, and T50RP's, unless you really stretch them a bit too much to go over the edge of the ear cup. Likely other candidates include some of the larger Bose pho... Show More

Great ATH-M50 earpad replacement
I recently bought Audio Technica ATH-M50 headphones and was well aware of the lackluster pleather earpads that come standard with it. In searching for an alternative, I read about the Shure 840 earpads and how they were a great fit and way more comfortable. I can say that this is so true. They are SLIGHTLY loose but it's not nearly as bad as some suggest on forums. Overall, sound quality didn't change much and my headphones are much more comfortable. Highly recommend getting them. Oh and on top of that, B&H had the best price by quite a large margin from other retailers.

Improvement for SRH440 headphones
Although these replacement earcups are intended for the SRH840 headset, they also fit perfectly onto the SRH440 headset. The SRH440 headset has very hard earpads which are uncomfortable to wear and which don't provide a good enough seal to preserve the bass response of the headphones. It's a shame that SHURE still hasn't updated their design here, as there are $headphones which have better earpads than the SRH440.Therefore it is almost mandatory t... Show More

Good for SRH440's as weel
I had purchased Shure's SRH440 headphones, and was happy with everything except the stock earpads. On the recommendation of a few websites I purchased these replacement pads for the SRH840, and I instantly loved them. The padding over the driver guard is greatly improved, and the faux leather used for the actual padding is much more comfortable.
