Simple but works great
I've used this to record live vocals, guitar and horns. The latency on my mid 2014 Macbook pro using Ableton Live is not even an issue and the sound is great. On paper it looks like this unit is lacking because it has limited options for live monitoring & audio routing and the only built in software is a simple controls panel to adjust inputs and outputs (no built in effects). Newer Mac users beware!
Bought this interface only to find that I can't connect it to my new iMac, which has Thunderbolt 3. The device comes with Thunderbolt 2. The APPLE Thunderbolt 3 Adapter DOES NOT WORK WITH THIS DEVICE. Support from Resident Audio was quick, but the only adapter that will work is a "Cable Matters" adapter ...at 2-3 times the price. Love it!
I play in a New Order tribute band called Substance. I run my sequences and click track in Apple Main Stage on a MacBook Air. I wanted to find a Thunderbolt audio interface so i didn't have to use a USB hub live. We have a couple USB keyboard controllers that take up the 2 USB connections available on the MB Air. This interface works great and is built like a tank. I can't believe the price! I love that it has 4 outputs. I can send my drummer his own feeds of the sequence and click seperately so he can mix to his liking. I highly recommend this product.
