Works very well
With a couple of slight modifications, this works great for my purpose of sharing keyboard/mouse/monitor between a desktop and laptop. As another reviewer noted, there is insufficient cable reach to get to both sides of a laptop. You can fix this by partly liberating one or two of the cables with a utility blade. This 2-port USB KVM switch was exactly what I needed!
I needed to switch between two laptops that needed to use the same USB keyboard, USB mouse, and monitor using a VGA connector. The IOGear 2-port USB KVM switch is compact, with plenty of attached cables for both computers, and a very handy push-button switch on a long dedicated cable that allowed me to hide the KVM and position the switch right in front of my monitor. I am very pleased with the unit.

Perfecfor tight spaces

An Item That Really Works!
I needed something so that I could access two separate computers, with two different Operating Systems, to the same monitor - without having to change the plugs back and forth. This product did the job perfectly. I had to mess with the USB plugs a bit first, but finally got it right, and how easy it is now! I'm very pleased!

Luck of the draw
Bought two. One caused monitor waves. Interfered with an LG 27 LED monitor. The other worked perfectly with an LG 23 LED monitor. Your mileage may vary.

Switches, but Lacks Resolution Quality
This switcher has quite a bit of delay in switching between signals, but the main issue is it degrades the resolution quality when used. I unplugged it and wired up my monitor direct as originally wired and the picture quality was great. It just does not have the ability to achieve that 1080 quality as you are used to prior to using it.

lots of cables but functional
I wanted the convenience of having two computers but only one monitor and being able to switch without having to get up and reattach the monitor. It works fine, just has a lot more wires than pictured in the image provided. I took a chance buying this switch. I use it to switch the keyboard and video but I have a separate ps2 mouse on each machine. It works fine this way - and takes only a single USB slot to use it this way.

Great gear, great price
Easy to set-up. Easy to use. I have multiple machines and 1 keyboard. I like to quickly switch between them. This also has the ability to swap between two monitors which is also great.

After a while it is working without a hitch. Initially, I couldn't connect it to my notebook computer because the vga connector is on one side of the notebook, the usb connectors are on the other side, and the cables won't reach across. IOGEAR Support was absolutely useless. They offered to sell me more cables. My solution is to cut the cables apart so they reach. Simple, effective
Built-in cables make the unit far less bulky. I really like that the actual button you press to switch between your computers/servers is small, discreet, and on a long cable. This allows you to hide all the ugly cables out of sight. Another bonus for my particular use is that you can use either the VGA, USB, or both, you don't need all the cables plugged in.

KVM Switch
A needed item for switching between workstation monitors. It is a little slow, too much black screen time between displays. I believe there are also KVM switches that use an existing key stroke instead of the attached button / switch found with this devise. Seems like high quality design and execution - just lacking in speed.

Works Well With Windows 7 / Mac OSX

Works great with my Macbook pro and PC connected to the same monitor, I wish the usb slots were a little more spaced apart, and sometimes when I switch back to my mac the usb keyboard and mouse don't register, but that's only sometimes.

Products works perfectly!
Works just as expected based on the reviews I read. While some people might like the use of pressing a key sequence on the keyboard to change from one device to the other, I like just pressing a button. Yes, it is one extra cord but it is quite simple and it passes the wife test. No complains and it works with my wireless Logitech keyboard mouse combo. The wireless adapter only has one USB, but it still works correctly. All in all a great product for a great price.

Love It! Great Product! Great Seller!
I was looking for a KVM that picked up my keyboard with CAC (Smart Card) built in and not have to use an external CAC reader. This worked great. I am totally impressed. Simple, easy to use, works great!
Pros: Easy plug and play functionality. Push button switch makes for quick switching between computers. Cons: USB cords a little short. When switching between computers, my Logitech mouse and keyboard aren't always immediately available (but usually come back to working within about 30 seconds)
