IK Multimedia iKlip Grip Smartphone Stand with Remote Shutter

Great accessory for mobile writer/photo
It is demeaning to refer to this versatile tool as a selfie stick. It can be a that, but it shines as a portable tripod for an phone camera or smaller point and shoot camera (if it has a tripod hole in the bottom or will fit in the spring loaded iPhone holder). Convertable and works as a table top tripod, a standing tripod (if a bit tippy), as well as an extension to get above crowds or down low to film kids or puppies playing in the grass (I've ... Not for use with Galaxy Note 5
I bought this to use with my Galaxy Note 5... I can't get it to hold it's position, it just keep turning. I think it's more because of the weight of the phone than the size. Discription of product should list which phones it works with. Needs to have a strap or something that goes across the phone to hold it more securely, I've dropped phone a few times when it fell out of clamp. Overall I would not recommend for people with larger phones, I would however reccomend for people with smaller or average size phones.

Versatile. Good in landscape mode.
I put my iPhone X on the iKlip next to my computer in Portrait mode when videoconferencing. I use the phone's camera for the conference and my computer for taking notes. However the iKlip is a little tippy with a heavy phone like the iPhone X when the phone is supported parallel to the stand instead of on top. One leg of the tripod has to be right under the phone.

Poor design
iPhone holder wobbles in both the landscape and portrait positions. The Bluetooth shutter would not pair with either an iPhone 6 nor 8. No phone number to call to try to replace. Dont buy ! For the price this was the worst product I have EVER purchased. I ended up gluing the iPhone holder so I can at least use it as a tripod for landscape photos and use the iPhone timer.

Well Made but a little pricey
I like that it serves multiple purposes as a desktop tripod, a selfie stick for smartphone or a small light camera and it has a bluetooth remote. It easily breaks down so it can be carried around in a small bag. The price is a little steep for what it does but I guess the tradeoff is you get a multipurpose tool.

excellent design
This kit has everything I need (and nothing I don't) to take photos with a smartphone. All of the components are well thought out, and compact, but sturdy. I haven't used the remote shutter, but otherwise, look forward to taking this on my next trip.

Junk. Do not buy
When using the pole extension as a selfie stick, it will not hold the phone in vertical position because the extension pole will not lock to prevent it from rotating. Its simply a plastic selfie stick that doesnt even work properly.

Not good pole kept turning, tripod falling apart.
Pole for selfie kept turning when phone got a little heavy, tripod when spread to put on stand 1 leg came out. Not recommended, dont buy this...

Waste of moneydont buy
Legs of tripod do not lock, collapsing under weight of iPhone. This product is a waste of money. B&H should not carry this product.
