As the Sound Engineer for our church for about 8 years I have experienced numerous different circumstances that have really challenged me and my abilities to keep the sound taylored properly for the most natural sound and all the while fighting feedback if it might suddenly come unexpectedly. Controlling the sound not only for the chior and the Pastor, but also the band and the various singers, and also different guest speakers and singers. And having various microphones being used and passed between both experienced and unexperienced speakers and singers, including children, and dealing with an ever varying size of attending members and visitors, the job of engineering the sound is usually never smooth sailing. Enter this Behringer XENYX X2222USB USB Mixer. This is really a great mixer, especially for a church on a budget. It has all the standard controls one would find on a mixer and even has a bunch of built in effects to make even an amateur singer really sound great. Feedback is easily tweeked out. And I love that each input has PFL so I can isolate each individual microphone and discreetly listen to just that one singer/instrument by itself and adust their sound as needed. The mixer is extremely quiet and has very minimal line noise and really seems to be built quite sturdy. This is our first Behringer mixer and my first experience with Behringer, and I am very impressed and it has been a pleasure to use this mixer. I highly recommend this mixer without hesitation. ... I was looking to buy a mixer for recording myself and my band and having a mixer during live shows. I purchased it at the store and it was delivered in 3 days. I got it 2 days ago and it has been working great so far. Finally I'm able to record more professionally sounding recordings with the usb interface. The only problem is that there are no details on how to set up the usb to your computer. So it took me almost an hour of messing with the mixer and my computer settings to get it to work. But once it did, it had great sounding recordings and I will enjoy using this mixer in the future. ... More

I bought this mixer to replace a very aged and beatup Behringer MX802A that bought 10 years ago. The X2222USB is fantastic especially considering the price. The clarity of the output signal is quite impressive. Pros: - The price is great - Sound quality while not likely top-line is still very good - Built in compression is only ok. The lack of complete control over compression can be frustrating - The PFL feature is fantastic for getting your levels set - Ability to record via USB was the main reason for selecting this mixer Cons: - After having the mixer for only a week, one of the pins on the AC power connection came loose when I unplugged the cord. I had to send it in for warranty repair. - USB is only 2 channel so recording is limited to only 2 channels. - Support from Behringer is extremely slow and frustrating. - Documentation is minimal. If you want to dive into a feature, you will have to just work your way through it. Overall, I would definitely recommend this mixer for the those on a budget. I don't regret my purchase, just wish their support department was more responsive. ... More

I will mirror some of the good reviews by saying this has functionality as advertised. I would say from a sound quality on a channel and main bus mixing outstanding for the price HOWEVER, I had one issue, isolation between busses. I bought this for the multi-bus so I could listen to a full mix and just record specific tracks. Fundamentally this works however while recording I noticed bleed through from the drum track I was not recording. Although it was faint it was there non the less. Unfortunately I will be taking this back and paying the higher price for another brand. It really comes down to quality and I guess I prefer good isolation. Again I'm not saying this is bad for the money. I was very impressed with everything else and this is by far the best functionality for the price. It comes down to where your quality threshold lies and what is important to you and how you want to use the product. ... More

I wanted a mixer that I could use live or in a home recording studio. Something with USB output, enough channels and great sound quality. Ease of use is another thing. Behringer got it right with this mixer. I love it! Very pleased with my purchase. The only disappointing thing is the free Audacity recording software that you can download does not let you export recordings or make a master. They want you to use a third party plug in for that. So I'm not using Audacity. I'm shopping for another brand of recording software to use with this mixer.

This board does all I need and more. I mix my 6 piece Latin Band: Congas, Bass, Piano, Two Horns, Timbales and 4 Vocals. Although I don't have a graphic EQ on it to help with the sometimes inevitable feedback, I have enough flexibility in the individual channels EQ to find out where it's coming from and fix it. I also miss an "All Channel Mute button", pretty handy when you go on break, but you just press a few buttons (individual mutes) instead of one! The effects are decent. It's light. It's INEXPENSIVE (I don't want to insult Behringer by calling it "DIRT CHEAP") I leave my gear in my car sometimes, super dark tinted windows and covered with a black cloth, point is: I can't spend 1K in a mixer that can get stolen. So I repeat my initial statement: You CAN'T BEAT it for THE VALUE! ... More

We needed a mixer for Children's Church and wanted something that would be simple to operate and still give room to grow. We only need a few inputs now but still wanted good quality that would last. This little mixer seems perfect and the price is hard to beat. We've only used it for a few weeks, but the sound is great and I have had no complaints. I can definitely recommend it.

I use this for myself in my home studio and in live settings for my band. I really got this specific one because of the on-board FX so I could free up a rack space on my rack. I am very pleased! Everything works as it should. I just wish there were more XLR in/outs rather than the 1/4" in/outs. Great board, great FX, will be more than satisfactory for a small PA setup.

Dead quiet mixer with a great feature set and rock solid performance. This is the 3rd Xenyx mixer I have owned(I keep getting bigger ones due to GAS;) and none have ever had a single issue. Great that it has 3 send -returns on this one and the overall input output setup is very convenient. Never used the mic pres so cant comment on those, but would gladly fork over more money if it ever broke.

An excellent budget mixer. I'm using it for mixing several synths/drum machines but it would be very at home in a small venue or worship center. The DSP effects are usable, certainly in a live environment, but you'd probably want to use outboard gear for any serious recording. effort. My one complaint on it would be that the USB output doesn't separate all the channels going out, just a stereo pair. Again, for the price, this thing is tough to beat feature and sound wise.

I bought this to use in a Children's and Youth area at out church. For the money this has a lot of great features with onboard Klark-Technik effects. It has no noise in the preamps and is very easy to setup and operate. If you want an analog board with entry level digital features this is a great mixer to use!

Playing small venues, recording this is a great mixer for the price. I found with a little work finding the sweet spot the compressor does make a difference and does very well. I do like the mid range sweep function and the onboard effects do a good job also. I had a Mackie before the Behringer ... was not that impressed at all with the Mackie and I payed more for it.

We were glad to get this board at a great price. Couldn't believe the power supply went out under 6 months. This was professional installed. Have to send back to manufacturer and will take 3 weeks to fix and return. Wish we had bought the extra Guitar Center warranty!
