What could be wrong?
They're wood. They're sticks. I hit the drums with them. The drum makes a sound. Everyone's happy.

lightweight
These are very lightweight cheap drum sticks. My son who is the drummer says they are for people who don't know how to handle the better, heavy sticks.

Great price, but not very durable.
You get what you pay for... These are not the hickory that you get with top brand sticks. The wood is much lighter and more fragile feeling. Hickory Wood Drum Sticks 1 pair
I was gratified to get the drum sticks. I use to play but, had not played for a few years. I am glad that the sticks were the correct one that I wanted. I would recommend B & H for all my supplies I wanted. The sticks are the nicest ones that I have seen.

They are sticks
I'm brand new to drumming, so I don't know much about what makes a particular stick better than another. These are definitely sticks. I didn't think the drum kit I bought came with any, so I added on a pair of these. Come to find out, the kit did come with a pair, so I really haven't even started using these yet, but they seem to be similar quality.

Great for the price
I purchased a pair to use with an electric drum set. The sticks are balanced well, easy to grip and work a lot better than the pair that came with the set!
