Olympus 75mm 1.8
My Olympus 75mm came today 10-4-2019, just like B&H Photo said it would and just in time for the fall colors. The first thing I did after the unboxing was to put it on my OM-D M1 2 and took some shots. This lens is sharp to the corners and fast on auto focus too. The lens is light for a 75mm and very well made. Thank you B&H Photo for having such great products and your very fast delivery. Jim, Charlotte, NC.

You can shave with it.
I've only had it for a couple of weeks, but wow--haven't had a lens in this focal length range like my ancient and beloved Topcon 75mm. It is beautifully made, and yields tack sharp images.

Great Lens
Great lens. I just did a review of it with samples on my photography channel MarkusPix https://www.youtube.com/markuspix

Very sharp ....
Outstanding lens. I have been using this lens for pictures of flowers, mainly roses. It is probably the sharpest lens I have in my set. No compromises ...., well made.

A jewel of a lens!
After taking Olys which lens is for me test on their site, my result said 75mm 1.8, from the image selections I chose. So why fight it? I ordered one the same day. It is outstanding for street photography. The images are simply stunning, even at night. Great bokeh. I head out the door every morning, and wonder what will I capture today? It does add a little heft to my E-PL9, but nothing unmanageable. Olympus was right - this is my favorite lens!

Uncredibly sharp
This lens is beautiful and incredibly sharp! the blades of the diaphragm are noisy: when the camera is on and pointing the lens from light to dark makes rattle sound. On another side, autofocus is perfectly silent.

Lenses cannot get any sharper.
This lens is mind mindbogglingly sharp even at wide open from edge to edge and corner to corner. Shooting across the street I could count the grass blades on the lawn.

Great Lens, I really like it
I have this lens just for a few weeks, but it become quickly one of my favorite ones. I did a lot of pictures of roses and flowers in the most at f1.8 and f2.0. The background is silky smooth. The lens is very sharp even wide open. The focusing ring is just a touch smooth, I love the workmanship of the lens. So far I did not found anything marginal at all. Top glass !

Indoor Sports Gem
I purchased this prime lens for my Olympus OMD EM-1 Mark 2 to shoot indoor youth basketball. My 2.8 zoom lenses required lots of ISO to get decent images. With this lens, I can significantly reduce my ISO and get good 1/320 images. This translates into many more "keepers" with much less noise reduction (softening) required. This lens is one of my favorite lenses and just wish that I had purchased it much sooner.

Superb optical quality
What can I add to hundreds of reviews praising this lens.... Sharp, great colour rendering, ultra fast focus, minimal distortions wide open, extremely well built. Well worth the price.

SHARP - SHARP - SHARP!!!! Killer Portrait Lens
I am a recent convert to Olympus and the M4/3 world. I originally purchased the new 45mm f/1.2 Pro lens and then had a lot of people suggest the 75mm. I tried it and fell in love with it - it is wickedly sharp and at the 75mm focal length f/1.8 provides a nice soft background when shallow depth of field is desired. Now the 45mm and the 75mm share time as my go-to portrait lenses.

Believe the reviews
Great prime telephoto lens that has more uses than usually discussed. You might have heard reasons why not to buy the 75 f1.8 because its too long, or too expensive, but it really is a faster, more compact fit than any Olympus telephoto zoom. Also, the 75mm goes on sale twice a year with a average savings of $150 each time. No, it doesnt come with a hood, but you can pick a perfectly good metal, non-Olympus one for $29. Team this lens with a 12-40 f2.8, and a 17mm f1.8 and you have 95% of your bases covered.

Love it.
I've taken the best photos in the last 5 years in the last two weeks I've had this lens. Sharp edge to edge wide open this thing is awesome. Perfect portrait lens if you have enough room. Built like a tank this thing is solid. Buy it or buy the kit with the 45mm. I bought the kit and the 45mm is great too.

sharp, but prone to flare
It's sharp, but very prone to flare. Impossible to focus on a backlit subject. Photos with light sources included suffer badly from flare. Not recommended.

I would buy this lens again.
The sharpest lens in my bag! Great mid range lens. My only complaint is that the lens hood should be included with the lens. The OEM lens hood is $65 and that is rather high for a lens hood. Also I would like it to be weather sealed.

Long reach from a solid piece of glass
I loved this lens from the moment I attached it to my Olympus Om-D 10 Mark II. The low light capability in a telephoto was wonderful. Of course the built in image stabilization makes this telephoto usable and a beauty with crisp shots. The best part is that two days after I received it, I was able to photograph a major family event. Beautiful memories captured which would not have been so easy without this lens. Thank you Olympus for keeping the fun and the quality in photography!

not so much
so far, i am not happy with this lens. i know it has gotten good reviews from others, but my experience on three olympus cameras hasn't been that great. focusing has been a problem on both a new pen f and a new omd 10 II, as well as an omd 1. it may be that i am the problem, but i don't think so. i have no such troubles with any of the several other mft lenses i have (maybe a dozen). i am just not sure if it's a lens i want to keep, if i still ha... Must have lens!
I have been using Panasonic 25mm f1.4 with my Olympus OMD EM5 for quite a while now and it is one of the sharpest lens out there. For landscape, I decided to purchase Olympus 75mm f1.8. I heard that this is one of best micro four thirds lens in the market and I was glad I got it. Wow! the images taken from this lens are incredible. Very sharp with amazing bokeh to boot. If you're on the fence, buy it. I wish I got it sooner.

As good as it gets
This is the lens that enticed me to try a micro 4/3 system (currently the Olympus E-M5 II). Purchased for discreet walk-around photography when traveling to places where the fairly large Nikon D810 with 300mm f/4 PF that I typically use might be threatening to people. My sample is a hair soft in the center at f/1.8, although perfectly usable for portraiture. Stopped down to the f/2.8 to f/8 range, the sharpness is spectacular edge to edge for app... Show More

Small+Sharp+Fast=Superb!
In my opinion, this lens is an absolute must have. In the MFT world, there are quite a few options for lenses, but this is definitely 1 to have in your arsenal. The low light capabilities are very useful especially when you look at the fact that this is a 150mm equivalent lens. The bokeh is nice and creamy. Sharpness is amazing. Contrast is very nice as well. Focusing is very fast and accurate. DO purchase a lens hood as it doesn't come with one.... Show More
