Moshi ClearGuard Keyboard Protector for MacBook Air 13 with Thunderbolt 3 (2018 & 2019)
So far, so good
I've owned and used the moshi clearguard for almost two weeks now. While no such guard will equal the natural feel of the keyboard, for those paranoid about keeping your MBP clean (I've got the MBP 17 unibody), the slight loss in feel is totally worth it. The guard hugs the keys well, and it's super thin so it really doesn't take any additional pressure to press the keys. So far mine stays in place just fine, except for when I sometimes press the... Ought to be bundled with MacBooks
I'm a physician, and I believe the soap we use has always rapidly warn off certain Powerbook and, lately, MacBook Pro keys so that they become unreadable. Plus, of course, gunk inevitably accumulates and, on a laptop, can fall directly onto the circuit boards below. So when I recently made my most recent upgrade, to a 15 Quad Core i7 MBP, I was determined to get the best protection available. MacWorld liked the Moshi and, after trying several oth... Show More

Good Product, little expensive though
I purchased two of these, one for a Macbook Pro and one for a Macbook Air. Both fit nicely and are virtually transparent when installed. You can feel a difference when the ClearGuard is installed, but it does not interfere with typing in any way. It successfully keeps pet hair, moisture and dust out from under the keys on the keyboards. I use mine every day, and it has held up pretty well under heavy use. There are some fingerprint smudges starti... Show More

Protector Does Its Job
I have been using the ClearGuard Keyboard Protector for my MacBook Pro 13 for two weeks now. It is very thin and easy to install. I read some reviews stating that the protector fits like a glove, but there is some wiggle room. It bothered me at first, but after two weeks of use, the protector feels more snug around the keys I use most. There is a tactile difference between the protector and the keyboard. Although I prefer the pleasantly smooth fe... Show More

Pretty good, but...
I have used this protector on my late 2011 MBP for over 3 years and it has held up very well. I clean it with dish soap or Simple Green and a microfiber clothe every month or so because finger oils build up and then imprint to the screen. It is not the fault of the Moshi protector--its just that there is such a tight tolerance between the screen and keyboard with the notebook is closed. I can't type as accurately with the protector on the MBP but... Show More

Worth the investment
I've used keyboard protectors on my laptop computers for many years, but the ones I had were made of silicone. Although they did protect the keyboard from dirt getting inside, they always left a shiny residue on the keys which didn't always come off. That isn't what I expected from something that was supposed to protect the keys. I had hesitated to purchase the Moshi ClearGuard because of the price, but now that I did, I can say that it's well wo... Show More

This is my second one (in 4 years)
My only complaint is cost and availability. Almost no one carries this and those that do charge A LOT for it. If it were more widely available and more reasonably priced, then I'd love it. I bought this 4 years ago after being dissatisfied with the thicker, less transparent, and overall lower quality silicone keyboard covers that flood the market. This item is top notch. It's barely discernible visually or tactily and it keeps debri from getting... Show More

Awesome keyboard protector.
I use this keyboard protector with my MacBook Pro 15 with Retina Display. This keyboard protector is perfect. It's fully transparent, so it doesn't take away anything from the original design (save the small moshi logo added on the space bar). It fits great that it's barely even noticeable on the keyboard when you look at it. Typing feels about the same with it. You'll notice a bit more traction, but it doesn't affect much. I'm happy knowing that... Show More

Clearly the right guard for me!
So far I have had this product for a week. It fits very nicely on my macbook pro keyboard and its clear color allows the light to pass through! It does take a little bit of getting used to if you have never used a keyboard cover before. You have to reacquaint yourself with the keyboard essentially and it slows you down until you get used to it BUT it does not take long to get used to and stays in place which is really important in a good keyboard... Incredible! Perfect fit on my MBP
I had read a few reviews about this product not being a good fit on some MBP's but let me assure you it is a perfect fit on my 13.3 model A1278 MacBook Pro.There is no adhesive of any kind (who would put adhesive on such a beautiful machine anyway?) yet it remains securely on the board at all times. It also covers the recessed edge around the keyboard completely. There is of course a difference in the tactile feel of your keys as you type but after... Reccomended MacBook Air Keyboard Guard
This product is superior to the one sold in the *. This keyboard protector stays in place when the laptop is closed and hardly ever needs to be reapplied. The previous one from the * would constantly stick to the screen when you open the computer up. For the price this is the best bet. The only negative said of it in my opinion is it makes the keys feel very plasticky, being that its made from a hard plastic. Other than that, this is my personal ... Show More

Excellent coverge for MacBookPro
I've been looking for a high quality keyboard covers for my MacPro. I have been dismayed from negative reviews I've seen on many of them and just stumbled upon Moshi protectors recently. Of course it is going to be overpriced but well worth the coverage in my opinion. Very fitted and does not interfere with typing in any way. Honestly, I've found I've preferred typing with the protector on. I spilt water on my bluetooth keyboard and it ruined it.... Show More

Like it's not there
I bought this because my last Macbook was destroyed by some tea. I've used my friends' keyboard covers in the past and they were all those silicone monstrosities. This thing is so thin that at first I thought I was picking up plastic that protects the cover when I lifted the cover out of its case. Super, super thing. At first it was sticky and irritating, but after about 2 weeks I really don't remember it's there. I worry sometimes about tearing ... Show More

Not So Great!
I watched youtube reviews, read reviews. Can't find anything negative about anything Moshi. This product is constantly lauded for it's thinness and can't tell it's there. Ok, I could definitely tell it was there. 1. It has a loos fit. 2. It is thick enough to destroy the tactile feel of the mac keyboard. 3. It moves around when typing. 4. It slows my typing and increases errors noticeably, even after a couple of days of use. The Good: it does seem to offer good protection to the keyboard area and keys. And does fit down into the grooved area around the keyboard, and doesn't fall out easily.

Would recommend to keep keyboard clean
I got this because my husband starting eating over my computer and thus far I'm satisfied. I will say that the first week I didn't notice the oil marks that everyone talks about but now I can and I've realized it just means that you have to clean the protector regularly in order to stop it. I would say that if you think you have oily skin to maybe get a guard because a friend of mine has to clean his daily. Also the guard is not clingy so it will come up if you start pounding on the keys but other than that it stays put pretty well and now I can barely tell that it's there.

It's not bad, could be better
Pros: It does what supposed to. It covers the keyboard, and keeps it clean, but Cons: it comes off the keyboard easily, especially when you're using the keys around the edge (maybe i have sticky fingers, who knows..), it's kind of flimsy. I thought keyboard covers were supposed to be like that, but no, a friend of mine has one for her macbook pro (not this one) and it doesn't come off as you type. I think the problem is that the cover doesn't extend much beyond the keyboard. It'd stay more in place if there was more plastic around the edges, know what I mean?

Very Nice
Yeah it's very nice. First time and for a couple of days it was noticeable but now I have to remind myself that I finally got a great unnoticeable keyboard protector. I lost a lot of cool portability on my last MBP because I spilled some water on the key board and had to lug around the apple bluetooth keyboard to have a functioning computer. I did that for 2 years and late last year I upgraded to a MBP 16MB, retina...etc.....A very cool but very expensive laptop. Don't want to do that again with this machine.

A Good Protector
I always get keyboard protectors, and they have saved me from spills and crumbs over the years. I like the feel of this protector. It applies easily and seems secure. When installing, place it carefully before . Otherwise, the bottom edge near the touchpad will not seal fully. There are only two small adhesive strips that secure this to the keyboard. So far they seem secure. Unlike some cheap protectors, this one does not leave residue on the computer screen. The fit is very accurate.

keyboard cover for macbook pro
I would definitely recommend this keyboard cover for all mac users! It is super thin. When you type you don't even feel it! It blends in so well with my macbook pro - the new 2011 version - that I can hardly see it. I would absolutely buy this again for any of my computers in the future! Please note that I am super picky and researched a lot before I bought. Hopefully, this will save you the time; just buy it, you'll be glad you did!

I was excited when I read about performance of new Mac Book, but in a second hend I was very disapointed when I discovered that new lap top does not have CD/DVD player. I can't install any aditional software from CD.I do presentation so can't play any video. Also you can't lock lap top. If I have to go to buy coffee I have to take my Mac Book with me or to risk to stolen. Very chip from Apple computers

Easy to use. Takes getting used to.
I am still undecided as to how much I like this product. It definitely keeps the keyboard/keys clean. You just lay it over the keyboard, so no guessing with installation. It does have a tackier feel when typing, so that is why I am undecided. If you like to run your fingers over the keys as you are contemplating your next words of wisdom, you might not like the feel of this product.

A Must For Dirty Hands
If you are worried about getting dust, liquids or debris on your keyboard, the Clear Guard is a must have. It is very high quality, thin and fits the keyboard very well. It makes the keys slightly harder to press but over time, easy to get used to. If you pair this with the iVisor screen protector, the MacBook Air won't close fully BUT the gap is only about a nanometer.

Clearguard Keyboard Protector
I like that it's thinner than other keyboard covers (like iSkin's) and that I can see the light through the keyboard. You can still feel the plastic, of course. One complaint I have is that the protector does not fit the function keys. Also, sometimes when I type, the cover lifts up at bit. I would prefer if the cover would stick better on the keyboard.

Good but pricey for what it is
It fits well on my keyboard, feels nice on the finger tips and actually mutes the typing sound pretty well. It doesn't seem that it would protect liquid from filtering through the sides because it doesn't stick to the surface at all. I've had other protectors that might do a better job at that. Also, the price is more than it really should cost.
