Best choice for my play and work style.
For enjoy gaming, Very wide view and enough frame rate. (and cool back led) For edit working, No need second display. This haven't speakers and holizontal swivel. This was too much price to me. But I got happy :)

Expensive upgrade - Worth it? Maybe.
This is an expensive upgrade coming from a 34 1440p 75Hz g-sync monitor. The extra size is noticeable and so is the higher refresh rate. The height adjustment doesn't have enough strength to hold the monitor at the desired height and I had to tie it with a cable to get it to stay. I also miss the swivel adjustment from my 34 as well. It has great picture quality, but for the price the stand missed the mark on some basic functionality, which is disappointing. If you've got a powerful enough GPU and desire for the increased size and pixels then this monitor is still a good upgrade.

Exactly what I was expecting
I waited a long time for this monitor, and now that it is available, i am not disappointed. Though it's quite expensive, the quality is there. Very good picture quality, fast refresh rate for gaming with G-Sync, and perfect format for 4K movies. Even better with HDR. Everything I was dreaming of into one piece of equipement. If you have a NVidia card, this is for you.

Just a great experience
Waited a long time for this monitor become available to the masses but once I got my hands on this it was worth the wait. The size, clarity, color are amazing. The gaming experience is great for games that natively support the resolution. There are a lot of good community fixes for those that dont. LG just screwed over everyone who bought this
This monitor has been coming soon to consumers for practically half a year. We've been waiting for it for so long after all the media outlets got it to review. It just became available to order late December. 2 weeks later, at CES 2020, LG announced the 38WN95C, the same exact display, just updated with better HDR support and additional inputs. It may not be available for some time (as evident by this monitor's massive delay to consumers), but LG really just punched everyone who bought this thing in the face.

1 DOA & 1 Amazing!
So, the first one I received was DOA. It would not display a signal. Not B&H's fault at all; but I must add that B&H went way beyond the extra mile to overnight me a replacement just days before Christmas. Absolute garbage
DO NOT BUT THIS! This is the worst IPS technology I've ever seen. It seems fine at first but when you fire up a game the back light goes bonkers and you can forget about seeing anything that looks like black ever again. Best Monitor I've Used In Every Metric
This monitor is absolutely gorgeous, ridiculously fast, and incredibly responsive. It's good enough that the complaints I do have can't take away from a 5 star rating. I'd consider giving it a 4.5 if I could. The only real downside is the price, though I'd argue it's a better value than its 200hz competitors... First off, 3840x1600 is awesome. Best Monitor I have EVER HAD!!!
I received my monitor the 16th of December and I can tell you it was worth the wait!! I have no stuck/dead pixels, not visual defects, just pure glorious Screen Real Estate!!! My backlight bleed is VERY low, the colors are accurate and having G-Sync at 120hz is amazing. everything i wanted it to be
Simply put, this is an amazing monitor. If you're wondering if the move from a traditional 60hz monitor to a fast refresh rate monitor is worth it, wonder no more. it's worth every penny. I wasn't sure about the curve, but now i'm sold on that as well. The monitor controls are better than past LG's, the software is nice for splitting the screen real estate up. i think this will be my last monitor until future star trek level hologram displays become real :)

Perfect balance of everything
38, 144hz, and HDR make this a perfect combo of performance and size. Went from a ultra wide, 60hz, VA panel and I can't get over how smooth and rich everything looks. I have the brightness set to half since it can get crazy bright. I don't use the lights on the back since it is super distracting for my wife who sits across from me. I didn't feel it brought much to my immersion, but if backed against a light wall would be pretty impactful. I feel like it'll grow into next gen video cards without a problem!
