These are simple and easy to put on. I don't always fly with them on, but I am often asked to fly in perilous terrains, and these little babies not only have saved my drone, but they provide an extra bit of peace of mind that allows me to fly better. I honestly haven't noticed any real issues with handling when they are on, and the battery life change is minimal. As a matter of fact, I feel these actually increase my battery time, because I am able to more confidently shoot tight shots quicker, instead of stopping and resetting in tight situations.
