The wrist rest isnt comfortable
The wrist cushion has a divot-like sunken spot in the middle which isnt too comfortable. I end up having to put my wrist on the far sides instead of in the middle which is awkward. Other than that, its okay. I havent noticed the chemical smell others were mentioning.

bad chemical odor
I noticed a paint-thinner smell on my hand which I finally traced back to the wrist rest (and to a lesser extent, the pad itself). Tried washing it with dish soap and baking power--no change. I finally had to get rid of it.

Strong smell
I purchased the Belkin mouse pad, about 2 weeks ago, because of the wrist pad....when I took it out of the packaging, there was this very strong chemical like scent that hasn't gone away...I haven't been able to use it, as it's hard to breathe when I tried to use it....I left it to air out, hoping the scent would go away....it's no as strong now....I just checked...but will give it a couple more days.....cannot give a rating at this time.

repeat buy!
This mousepad is a great fit for my desk. It is a comfortable material that is soft to the touch and gentle on my wrist when I'm using the mouse. It's appropriate for either right or left-handed use. The bottom grips the desk nicely so the pad doesn't move across the surface.

Very comfortable
Wrist rest is contoured which allows you to relax and lessens any discomfort from long term mouse use. Sticks to my desk like glue. Mouse slides very smoothly on pad with plenty of room to adjust if needed. Great product, great company!!

Classic mouse pad
Hard to find anything bad to say about this squishy mouse pad. I've always used one and will continue to buy a fresh one every couple years. The best thing about this pad is that the coating over the gel pad area is nice and slick, allowing effortless gliding around without wear or stickiness often associated with gel pads

About Time!
I was looking for a mouse pad similar to this. It works great. Not necessarily the softest thing in the world but it is SO SO SO much better than nothing. A whole lot less hand fatigue than before. I don't know what took me so long in getting one of these.

Nice design, strong synthetic smell
These are great, they feel nice under the hand and look good. They also ensure smooth tracking with any kind of mouse. The only issue is that they have a pretty distinct fresh-from-the-factory smell for the first few days.

comfortable enough
nothing special or great about this mouse pad, it works and is functional and more comfortable than not having any mouse pad. the gel grips your table surface and it's accurate enough.

Works well with a trackball, too.
I purchased this as a suggested accessory for the daily deal trackball, which I figured was worth a try. The gel pad is more comfortable than the soft plastic tailpiece with the trackball, so I'm very gal I bought this! (Even if I do return to the mouse someday...)

waverest mouse pad
Wish the padded piece was a bit more raised and softer...could use a little more length also..Not horrible for the price but I'm glad I didn't pay much more :-)

The Best Mouse Pad
Very comfortable, effective design. This is my second Belkin mouse pad with same design. The first one lasted over 6-years. The new one is lighter but not cheaper. I replaced the first one only because it was getting dirty, still in good shape otherwise.

This mouse pad is very comfortable to user. The gel hand rest is particularly helpful. Had no issues to cling on to any kind of surface. I tried this on polished wood, Veneer sheet and glass. Holds a grip properly. Mouse top is also great no issues there. Nice basic mousepad
I am using this with a new Sharkoon Fireglider laser mouse. The mouse is actually bigger than I'm used to, and takes up more than half the area from front to back of this pad. When on a lower mouse sensitivity, the mouse butts against the wrist rest of the pad too often. Padding is is low for smaller wrists
The mound of gel is fairly low for people with smaller wrists. It also has a 'dip' in the center which I found most uncomfortable as it only supported my wrist on it's highest peaks at the outer oval. However the material is flexible so it's convenient if you need to take it for travel.

My second one
This pad is my favorite. This is the second I have owned. The first one frankly wore out after 4 years. I use my computer a lot and this was to be expected. Love the pad--keeps me comfy!!

They aren't what they used to be
I purchased my first on of these mouse pads several years ago and loved it. It had gotten so old and dirty, I thought it was time to replace it. The new one is inferior to the old. the base is thinner and the wrist rest is made of a cheaper, stiffer material than the old. Not nearly as comfortable. Too bad. Belkin has always been a pretty good company. But I guess they cut corners to save a buck like every other corporation.
