Awesome sound quality, great mic
Use: Church (Traditional services) Primary user: Pastor Sound quality: Fantastic - so much better than our old uni-directional mic. Construction: very well done, as always. I've never been disappointed with A-T Pros: unbox, plug it in, turn on the mic. done. Fantastic sound, three windscreens included. Rotates on clip, not just a spring or a secondary clip on the wire. Foam windscreen is stuck on mic with adhesive strip, so it wont go flying off ... Show More

Great investment
I use this at Church services and it's great! I can walk around and not worry about people not being able to hear me. It picks me up no matter which way I turn my head, which is something I've been looking for. It's been a great investment.

Much better than original equipment
This lapel has much better audio quality and is much more reliable hardware than the original lapel that comes with the pro88 system

Time Tested, Excellent Mic!
I've used two of these mics for many years for commercial/industrial production, both in the Pro-88 system and have never been disappointed. The only reason I needed another was that I lost one on the last shoot...

Good lapel microphne
Our pastor has hearing aids therefore the ear mount microphone wouldn't stay on properly. This microphone works very well.

cheap but very clean
Overall durable and good for musical theatre. These elements are durable and work well in outdoor drama, where more expensive elements die very quickliy. the connectors do wear out overtime, but it takes a while before that happens. A little strain relief with tape or rubber bands helps.

Works very well for theatre
We use these (both the black and the beige TH version) with body pack transmitters extensively in our theatre productions. The sound is generally very good and the mics can be clipped to clothing or worn in the hair. Over time and use the cords tend to get noisy at the connectors if you are not careful with them - it helps to put a half loop in the cord and tape it to the pack so there is no strain on the connector from performer movements.

Better than the stock microphone
The original microphone that came with my PRO-88 junked out and stopped working. I think it was something in the cable where it connects to the microphone. I ordered this and have no complaints after the first few uses. The quality is better and the cable connection appears stronger. However, my experience with vhf wireless is that I now have a backup hard-wired microphone standing by when I get interference.

Better than old stock mic on PRO-88W
I recently bought a new PRO-88W wireless lav mic set (my third), and this is the mic that came with it. What a change! WAY better frequency response and a lot less background noise than the cardioid mics on my older PRO-88Ws. With this mic, within 50 feet of the camera, I am getting better sound than with my much more costly Samson UHF wireless set, and the PRO-88W is far more rugged than other wireless lav mics I've used. Guess I'll buy another couple of these mics and be happy with PRO-88W (VHF) for at least a few more years. :)
