I'm a full time professional event video producer doing alot of hotel-based seminars. We use alot of wireless handheld mics in these situations, with unpredictable conditions faced at each venue. First time out with these puppies; I'm impressed. They sound VERY good and have good gain characteristics and are not OVERLY directional. They look good, and are easy to hold. They seem to have no signal dropout at typical hotel ballroom distances. At 10... Show More milliwatts, they should be good for at least 100 feet of reliable transmission. A single AA battery should be good for a day's worth of work, being rated at 8 hours. Thankfully, they don't seem overly directional or require exceptionally close proximity micing. Non professionals are typically a little timid with their mic handling, and are afraid of hearing their voice amplified, so they pull the mic away from the ideal position. These mics are a little forgiving of that. These hand held mics don't seem prone to feedback, and that's a plus for hotel ballroom work, when hosts will sometimes walk in front of the powered speakers.Show Less
