A Mini Marvel
Sony really packed a lot of features in a small package ! What is great: 1-the zoom range from 24mm to 200mm, 2- the electronic view finder, 3-the built-in flash, 4-the range of positions for the LCD screen, 5-the ability to shoot raw, 6- the quality of the photos from a 1 sensor. What is not so great: 1-the menu can be very difficult to navigate at first, 2-the eyelets for camera straps are very small (can not use Peak Design Anchor links directly) 3-the optional front grip should be an integral part of the camera body.

Much better than phone, still fits in pocket
I was looking for a camera that was simple enough for my or my father to use to take good pictures, and would still fit in my pocket. I've been very happy with it so far. Just got a chance to film cousin at figure skating and the video was great. Very smooth even when zoomed in.

Very Capable Pocket Camera
I have had several RX line cameras. All have been excellent. I am an amateur photographer. These cameras drive me to specialize all my efforts using only compact cameras.

Sony Rules
Everything shoots super fast: fast focus and frame rate. Completely silent shooting, superb AF system finds and tracks motion and faces, selectable aspect ratios work flawlessly with electronic finders, JPG and or RAW, 25 contrast - detection points. Its a fun little camera.

Simply perfect!
The build quality of this camera is impressive. Very nice image quality and functions. I miss something that allows me to grab it better. I think it's probably the best camera in its class.

The best tiny do it all camera--but it's not cheap
If you want to travel light but always get good photos, this camera is tough to beat. I purchased it to replace the Mark II version (which still works) because this camera has an even longer zoom. The picture quality is very good overall. The weakest point I've found so far would be the corner quality at the extreme telephoto end. But this still lets me get good photos in concert settings where my seat is not close to the act. The two example pho... Show More

Fantastic camera, but associated smart phone app is a loser
This has to be on of the world's best pocketable cameras. The picture quality is fantastic, especially in dim light. It is good image stabilization. It is really small enough to go in a pocket. There is negligible delay from pressing the release to the moment the image is actually captured. What is there not to like? For a travel camera you want every photo tagged with the latitude and longitude, so you can keep track of the subject. (I jus... Show More

Compact and highly functional
Great little camera to carry when a DSLR is inconvenient. I like its wide to tele range and sharp pictures. One flaw is its complicated menu structure. There is no manual, only a difficult to navigate online guide to each instruction. Pleas SONY give me an Owners Manual! Otherwise would be 5 stars.

Great street camera- inconspicuous size but loaded ...
I bought this camera 3 days before heading to Barcelona to start a cruise. I did not want to lug a lot of camera gear ( I own Sony AR2 equipment) and my only small camera (Lumix DMZ zs100) is broken. I have yet to read the instruction manual yet I found the controls and menu structure intuitive; I'm sure there is much to learn! I LOVE the (pop-up) viewfinder- which I consider to be a must have feature during daytime shooting in bright sun. T... Show More

Second Sony RX100
This is the second Sony Rx100this time the VI with its super new zoom lens. This is my grab.and-go camera for wind and dust, possible rain, and when I am taking record shots that dont the high resolution of my Nikon z7 camera. Highly recommend this little whiz of a camera. Have actually made 10x15 prints that come out sharp and clear. Its far more than a pocket, point-and-shoot camera.

Great, and...
I dont actually have this model. I have a generation 3. In that model great image quality under ISO 400. Huge array of features. I understand the menus have improved so that is a plus. I bought the RX100iii because it had an eye-level viewfinder. It has stopped working on mine. Just saying

Outstanding, versatile camera!
The Sony RX100 VI is a gem of a camera, an outstanding and versatile photographic instrument! It delivers beautiful, rich, detailed images. The auto focus is fast and responsive. The pop-up EVF is bright. The camera is small enough to fit in your pocket and go everywhere with you yet designed so that it fits naturally in your hands. I shoot with a Fujifilm X-E3 with an 18-55 mm zoom camera, a great combination but too bulky for a travel or go-eve... Show More

Great camera, but the DLX kit is not worth the money.
The battery included with DLX kit did not fit in the camera (it is not a sony brand). I had to discard.

Known Overheating Problems Dont buy it
I thought this was a high quality product. Its the first Sony Ive bought in many years and it will be the last one I ever buy. When B & H returns from vacation Ill be seeking to return it. I called Sony and they tried to tell me its not designed for taking long video. Thats exactly why I bought it - because I wanted a camera that I could take video and stills with at reasonable quality in a compact camera. If they dont want to make a camera that ... Show More

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 VI Digital Camera
This little camera fits well into a pocket and image quality is pretty good. For me the camera, because of its size, would be difficult to use without the optional Sony VCT-SGR1 Shooting Grip. For such a small camera the 200mm reach is nice. I use it for candid shots and often use the video option which I am very pleased with. My go to camera is a Canon 5D Mark III and only use prime lens. Comparing the two cameras the best images I have been abl... Show More

Perfect Camera for Travel
I have used Canon travel cameras for years. Gx7 and Gx3 with viewfinder. This Sony is more convenient to carry and has a sharper lens. Menus take a bit of effort, but worth it. The included charger and sD card are excellent. The camera case, less so.

Well built but with pros and cons
First the good parts - Great zoom range, solidly built, lots of features (Ill probably never use). The menu system could be better but Im getting the hang of it. When you pack so much into a small camera it makes sense that many settings are menu based and not button based. Sharpness seems excellent so far. Cons - Terrible at low light. Not just that the lens is not fast but also the noise is significant. If you keep the ISO down youll be fine ... Show More

The Best RX 100 Series Yet
Some will disagree with the title, judging that a faster lens (M5) is better than a longer reach. But I have owned a M3 and a M5 and I think this is the best RX-100 version overall. Having 200mm is a very nice advantage, allowing for more creativity and yes, fun. The lens seems very sharp at all focal lengths. Low light is no problem--can hand hold at 1/30 with 1000 plus iso for very attractive results. The physical form factor has not changed an... Show More

I really tried to like this camera.
This is the third version (I tried the m2 & m3) I tried. I was hoping for a smaller version of the RX10 line (at least something close) but no luck. I am not sure what others are shooting with this camera but I was disappointed in its performance for what I want to shoot. 1. The close focus distance on the zoom lens is terrible and no where near the RX10II. Trying to shoot flowers, buds, pods, insects; small items. 2. The photos are not as deta... Show More

Great camera!
I bought this camera for my wife for her first digital camera. Its a Christmas gift, but I gave it to her early. Anyway, she loves it. Its perfect for her as she can start her use as a point and shoot and expand her control as her knowledge grows. The built in flash seems to work fine. The sharpness is amazing. The zoom range is perfect. Low light does not seem to be a problem as she took pictures of Christmas lighting on many homes and all turne... Show More

Two steps forward, one step back
When I heard that Sony had finally added a touch screen and longer zoom to their ultimate compact, I immediately got on the notification list. On paper, the RX100 VI seems like a home run, and for the price, it should be. My experience - and results - have been mixed... it is by no means the perfect camera (but nothing is). To qualify, Ive owned nearly every larger sensor (1 or greater) compact and bridge camera released since the original RX100... Show More

Practice Makes Perfect - Love this Camera
I bought this camera kit from B&H in September and posted a 4 star review. Well, it is time to raise that to 5 stars. I am absolutely delighted with the performance of this Sony. My work is mainly landscapes taken when I am walking the dog on the beach or in the woods. The lens is very sharp across the whole zoom range and Ive also found the auto focus to be faultless. Great Camera in a Small Package
I wanted a fairly sophisticated and very small camera to carry along with (or instead of) my Nikon D850 when traveling. This camera seems to fit the bill. The quality is good, images sharp, and 20 mP is enough for most purposes. There is lots of noise at ISO 6400 but I hope to be able to use it mostly in light bright enough that I dont need 6400.
