now i would like to say I'm thrilled but I'm not even may have to return item reasons why I've connected via hdmi arch with a 5.1 very good hdmi cable & bluetooth now I'm on optical cable due 2 poor sound sync especially when streaming I've a new 2019 LG tv & checked all settings on the tv even had someone in to double check so unhappy & i still find it does not lift voices when needed but obscures them more & yes my ears have been tested I've found the older products to work better shame

Good quality, Fair VFM
This soundbar has all the bass you will ever need without sacrificing clear dialogue, and gives movies a genuine cinematic feel. Bluetooth pairing was fairly seamless and the EQ presets are useful. The LG remote for our TV operates the sound bar, although the supplied remote is still required for certain functions. The only downside - we found this system £20 cheaper online the same evening we purchased it, which is frustrating. Overall very happy with it - if not so much with the price!

No frills quality
The soundbar is exactly as expected, with s solid no frills sound experience, that is above models that are sub £100, but a long way off the mark from Dolby Atmos systems, which is understandable for the price. Main design challenge is the single HDMI in and that it is only HDMI 1.4, so won't pass through 4k. No too much of a challenge given current slow up take of 4k content from Virgin Media, more of a challenge for Sky users. Either way, this Bar will be out of date in two years.

No Way Is This 400 WATT
Avarege sound quality, some of the presets are very tinny sounding, not worth the price, this price should have at least included a bluray player, sound distorts at high volumes but woofer provides a reaaly good sub bass but the sound bar is poor and slightly better than my lg tv's sound, but all 3 connected over optical cable makes it only just acceptable, LG smart remote cant control the sound bar like it says it can and can hardly turn the sound bar on or off

Great soundbar, if a little costly.
Nice and easy setup and great sound, bit expensive at time of writing but still feels worth it. Virtual surround a little disappointing but other settings and custom equaliser work well, love the LG optical setting enabling the LG TV remote to turn volume up and down cutting down in the number of remotes you need handy. Also the display dims nicely after a few seconds which is a nice touch, easily recommend this soundbar.

Decent soundbar and subwoofer
Got the LG SL5Y a few weeks ago to go with my new Sony tv. Really please with it, sound is very good, sometimes a little too bass but you can adjust it via the remote control supplied. Very clear on speech and have massively improved the sound overall. Super easy to set up, I am using a hdmi lead via the ARC socket sound I can control the volume via my tv remote control too. Defo recommend this soundbar

Bought to enhance the usual iffy flat screen TV speaker setup for my LG TV , great improvement super easy blue tooth set up but it is better handling with extra cable set up( not included) useful range of sound set up extras but takes some thoughts if try to combine TV and bar speaker set up and works well as blue tooth sound bar when synchronized with phone or tablet

Decent Soundbar
This soundbar and subwoofer provides a decent sound for any type of programme or film, The bass is present but not overpowering at low volume. Crank it up for an action movie and it's more than capable of providing the cinema experience. You can buy rear speakers for true surround. However, the virtual surround option does a good enough job for most people.

Soundbar
Came free as part of an offer only got to use it for a couple of days before it had to be returned with the faulty TV, although I only used it for very short time I loved how easy it was to set up and the sound quality I found was excellent was very disappointed when it had to be returned.

Very good sounbar for good price
The sound quality is better than I expected. Perfectly fulfills its task when watching movies, playing games and listening to music. It would be more convenient if you could save your settings for individual modes but I am very happy with the purchase.

Stylish and efficient
Works straight out of the box. Plug and play!!!!!! As I have an L G tv it connected by Bluetooth using the on screen instructions. Up and running in about 5 mins. SIMPLES!!

Very little instructions
Seems to work OK. The instructions that came with it were shamefully bad and as a result, it took quite some time to work out how to get it working.

It would have been best if the sound bar can be slipt into bits to fix in a small bag ( for easy transport)
