Excellent width, limited height
Bought this to replace an older LG monitor which finally died. Do like the curved form, as all parts of the screen equidistant. Have discovered that the lesser height (compared to my prior monitor) requires making landscape pages smaller or viewing only a portion at a time. In retrospect, might have been better to purchase a monitor with more height and less width

Perfect for Photographers

Great!
I have run this for about a week now with a new 2018 MacBook Pro. The USB-C connection makes connectivity a breeze. The resolution seems good as well, not as great as the laptop screen but still crisp and sharp.

As advertised
Pros: Powering my Macbook over USB-C is a huge bonus although questionable whether it is worth the $$ premium LG is putting on it. Packaging was solid, set up was a breeze. I thought I might find it too big but I was wrong. I love focusing on one screen versus toggling between my old 27 and laptop screen (my laptop screen is now closed..one screen only). Cons: Neither was a surprise. 1080p now seems lackluster with all the higher resolution options out there but I just didntfind anything else that was in my price range. The power brick is very large (again, not unexpected).

Excellent high quality screen with all the inputs
All the video inputs you would every want and built-in BT speakers with very decent (not stellar) audio quality. It was a little confusing that the audio channel on the video input (HDMI/DP/USBC) is NOT routed to the speakers and you have to instead BT pair your device with the screen to get audio out of it. That is a little annoying because there is onscreen UI that shows up EVERY TIME to confirm that you want to BT connect your device with the screen audio after you boot up/resume/wakeup. Other than than an excellent screen that I would buy definitely again.

Are you a designer?
This screen is absolutely incredible, internally from its components to its overall design and usability. They are loud, clear and nice speakers built in, and can be used as a bluetooth speaker itself. The image is absolutely brilliant, and the curve will always wow anyone and everyone who encounters it. I did not give it 5 stars because it is missing one thing: Lighting Bolt connectors for full 4K native from your MacBook Pro (anything later than 2016 update) otherwise the USB-C will work for you.

Excellent Monitor
This monitor provides lots of acreage to have multiple windows open on one screen as opposed to multiple monitors. Great color, adjustable height and tilt sweeten this monitor even more !!!

Great Monitor
Got tired of using two monitors. Bought this one and impressed with quality. My eyes feel good as oppose to the monitors that I had. The desk looks a lot cleaner. The only thing I had to go through is to learn how to manage two or three windows open at the same time, like having two monitors running. However it's an easy thing to mange. It is truly a thing of beauty
This monitor has an amazing picture. It's the best set up I have had. I particularly like it with apps like Lightroom and Final Cut. The ultra wide is so much nicer than trying to put multiple screens side by side. And, the curve makes it all feel like the edges are not too far away while sitting in the center. not a 4K monitor
a wonderful monitor for everything wide and PC related, but i bought it for Xbox and console gaming, the monitor does not support 4K as promised here, and i am unable to return it. however, it does have screen stretch to avoid being "black barred" I would only recommend this monitor if you are using 1080p or 1440P , not looking for higher...

Great monitor in bright environment.
Purchased this for an edit system, thought it was a overpriced compared to a number of other options, but I'm very happy with it. System is setup in a bright area with windows, the antiglare on the surface is perfect. I had to buy a mini-DP to standard DP cable to get 60hz from a MacBook Pro. Mac HDMI was limited to 30hz.

The perfect sized screen
I'm a developer and spend a lot of time writing code, hoping around Linux VMs and doing data analysis. I usually have multiple windows open. Overall quite good, but not great.
Overall, a pretty good monitor. I'm coming from a 30 NEC hardware calibrated color critical 3090WQXI which developed a single pixel wide yellow line vertically straight down the middle. You don't release how amazing these monitors are until you move to something lesser. I'll be comparing the 38UC99-W mainly to this, which may actually be unfair to the LG. I am a software engineer. So I open lots of windows, some of them to write code, others for documents or browsing and some command line windows. Good quality monitor
As a Graphic Designer,I like the real estate on the monitor, setup was easy, the only complaint I have is that the monitor shakes a bit when due to the wide span and single post stand.
